Don't be deceived by their website, this place is basically a parking lot in the woods. It's shady and nice, but if you rent a cabin you will have a Cruise America RV right at your campfire. No privacy anywhere. Also, one end of the campground has a playground and the other end has a basketball court. If you want quiet then forget it. Friendly staff, super clean restrooms and redwood shade, but that's it for the price. Next time I'll stay at the state park up the road.

I thought the sites were adequate. The main distraction at this park was the ever-present maintenance staff. They were always under foot, making a lot of noise and not very pleasant. They spent several hours in the early evening power washing the pool deck with a very loud compressor. They decided to clean the pool as soon as we went swimming. Items in the store are very pricey. The staff at the office were very accommodating.

OK for a one or two nigher. Beautiful beach, but check shoes before returning to motorhome or tent. The tar is mostly at the San Miguel loop, but little blobs of it everywhere.

Very tight spaces. A lot of transient-type squatters and loud family gatherings. An OK one-nigher. The jets and sewage plant were not an issue at all.

Huge park across the street from the Fairplex, where off-road races were happening. A bit noisy this weekend. Nice pool and spa, where kids ruled. Under 14 year olds in the spa and yelling until the pool closed. The park was very noisy with kids running about after dark. Inconsiderate travelers and perms with wind chimes. The lady across from us had her chimes hanging from the edge of her huge awning. Effectively making the chimes closer to our windows than hers. She was inside the whole time with her windows shut. Very close spaces.

Great location for bus and trolley to SD and Tiajuana. Nice pool and spa. Well stocked store. It gets a ^ for these reasons: 1) I called to change reservation and was told "If you do this again, you will lose your deposit." I felt like I got slapped on the wrist. 2) I asked for a quiet space when I filled out the online reservation. This was confirmed upon arrival. I was given a space next to the pool and office, right next to the path leading to the parking lot. 3) On noise, I'm always amazed at the inconsiderate travelers who park their coach, put out annoying wind chimes and then go inside with the windows and doors shut. The people across from me had those especially loud metal chimes that they hung right in front of the pool area. They spent the whole time locked up in there RV, while everyone at the pool and nearby sites listened to metal banging together 24/7. 4) The spa rules specifically state that 9-10pm is adults only. At 9pm about 20 middle school and high school age kids showed up and the staff that was around did nothing. 5) The place has a horrible odor. At about 6pm, I was informed the sewer had backed up and I could not dump tanks until the next day. My black tank was full!. 6) A group of homeless people urinating and fighting in the dog walk area.

Incredible park! Close to downtown, quiet, great pool and spa. They are a little strict about dogs, but the area outside the park is ample for walking and safe. Big rigs actually fit in the small, back-in sites. Each site is lined with shrubs for complete privacy. I noticed that they let some people park tow vehicles in empty sites. They have the most incredible hummingbirds and feeders at the office.

This park would have received a 10. It's nice and clean, has a great laundry room and friendly staff. Pool looked great but had leaves floating in in it. It gets a 9 because website says directs you to the JCT of 93 and 40, but the park is not visible at all from the hwy or exits. I had to call for directions. And the big reason for a 9. They had plenty of sites available, but put us right in front of the office with all the traffic, etc. And right outside the office door, a set of those annoying bamboo wind chimes. I have yet to understand why anyone with an RV would hang those annoying things within 5 feet of another rig, but the office should know better.

Very nice facilities and ample space at the site. Two things nearly spoiled our stay here. Local families apparently come to do laundry and allow their unsupervised children to use the pool area. I saw this happening throughout our stay. One father even told his kid to follow us in through the keyed gate. The child then proceeded to urinate in the hot tub. Also, the landscaping crew arrived at 7:30 am with shovels, rakes and weed whackers. Not what I would expect for price.

Very tight spaces. Slide out was 3 inches from neighbor's slide out. It is a huge park with little grass and no laundry facilities. The trash bins at the front of the park were always open and stunk like rot. Even with the sparse grass, the mower ran endless right through the sites at 830 in the morning. Nice staff and close to town.

Busy roads with cars, rigs, carts, bikes and walkers. Hot tubs are huge but so chlorinated that it bleached my swimsuit. We paid about $30 a day for the first 5 days and decided to stay one more day. They charged us $51, claiming their rates had changed. Fire ants all over site. The big positive is the pool area, activities and closeness to Sarasota and services. The big negative is the park is mostly mobile homes and park models with the RV sites sort of mixed in. Would return if we had to.

Very nice park with hiking trails, nice store, big sites and well kept. My only complaint. We made it all the way from Alaska and this was the first time we were charged for early arrival. The park was nearly empty.

The best part of this park is how easy and close it is to NYC. A few blocks walk in a very safe area, a cheap PATH ride over to WTC or 33rd Ave...the park is quiet and full each night.

Nice park. I especially liked the doggy bag dispenser at the pet run area. Sites a little close, but level and roads in good condition. A lot of semi-perms.

Great park and very quiet even on Labor Day weekend...nice paved trails along river that lead to downtown and over to Moorehead. My credit card was charged for 2 nights before we arrived and they had lost my reservation, but they still gave us a site. Dump station is conveniently located on the way out of the camping area. No kids, but great playgrounds.
