Saginaw Campground, Saginaw, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I stayed for just one night while in the Duluth area. The couple who are caretaking are very sweet. The rates were extremely reasonable, especially for a full-hookup site. Sites were gravel, level, and a standard distance apart. The campground has several season long sites, some mature trees, and very clean bathroom facilities. One side of the campground is close to a road and the other side is close to a busy train station, but I still found it to be fairly peaceful. WiFi was good, bathrooms had number lock system, but did not close and lock. I would absolutely stay here again! We camped at Saginaw Campground in a Motorhome.

River Plantation RV Park, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

I stayed two nights. The workers are very kind and helpful. We used the pool and my daughter reported that the bathrooms were nice. We had water, electric and sewer in our pull through site. Everything you could want at a great rate. My only issues were poor WiFi that often wasn't even available (but I've come to expect poor WiFI at RV Parks, this one was by far the worst), gravel roads that made biking to the pool difficult, especially since we were very far away, and the sites were narrow so I ended up going up on the concrete pad every time I tried to pull out. I would stay again. We camped at River Plantation RV Park in a Motorhome.

New Orleans KOA, River Ridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for two nights in my motorhome. Over the phone reservation was somewhat difficult, but when I arrived the check-in person was kind and answered all of my questions. He led me to my site and helped me get backed in. Spaces are tight, but I didn't pick this park to feel like I was camping, I picked it for convenience to the French Quarter. They have a limited shuttle which no one has clearly explained in the reviews, so I will. It leaves at 9am and returns at 5pm. One run. Many people cancel if they book it and our three names were after two others on the waiting list and we were offered seats, but we were not ready so I took public transport. Bus E3 stops across the street but is not part of RTC so the app I used to download a day pass didn't work. Fare is $1.50 per person each way. Transfered to RTC 16 at "the end of the line" for the E3 and then transferred to the streetcar 2 at the Canal/Convention Center stop. Came home the same way. Three people for a total cost of $9 for RTA Jazz Pass and $9.00 for the E3 line. It took about 90 minutes to get from the KOA to the French Quarter. I was glad we did not use the shuttle because we could return at our convenience, and it started raining just as we boarded the bus. Overall, the KOA was perfect for our needs. Nothing fancy, average price with the discount. I would stay here again, but might look at a closer RV park to the French Quarter if I wanted to spend more time there. We camped at New Orleans KOA in a Motorhome.
