Stayed here 2 years ago Nov. when it was crowded -- not so much this time of year. Sites are tight but well maintained and we got a 2-tree shaded site this time! Nice dog walk and park, but very strict about dog on leash and leash in your hand, not tied outside. A few miles off I-10. Great water pressure if you remove their added valve and use your own (up to 80psi, so must use something). Staff helpful, all base amenities available, great place to see Tucson and surrounding area from. Always feel safe on a base and stayed 6 nights.

Rate includes taxes and winter rate. Easy on/off freeway, but little traffic noise. Great sites with privacy fences, tiny gravel that they smooth out with a grade (so you can't walk or drive on any other site for any reason), level, no shade but plantings and some grass for pet walk and an enclosed pet walk. Had an emergency with our truck and Ford was right around the corner, so had to stay 2 nights. Don't miss Mesilla, a village only a mile south that is so old it used to be the capitol of NM and AZ and Billy the Kid was tried and hung there! Great close sightseeing/shopping/eating experience (La Posta Restaurant) and we couldn't have been marooned in a better park in the area!! Helpful morning staff.

Impressed with this park. Best in Santa Fe. Stunning views as it is up on a ridge overlooking everything and lots of wind. Landscaping was beautiful and very natural with some nice sculptures here and there. Great hiking trail around the entire park for walking the dog and a nice dog park too. Staff is mostly family, very helpful in recommending restaurants, etc. No shade, some long term residents who are working in the area. We had a premium site with patio on the end, so not tight. Stayed a week and got the 7th night free. Would definitly stay here again, but not all that impressed with Santa Fe -- very crowded town.

Don't know why we paid the highest rate listed here! Certainly not worth it. Gravel parking lot with so called pull-throughs that were not the norm -- nose to nose and had to negotiate with neighbors to get out. Easy on/off one nighter, but I wouldn't stay longer. No shade. Utilites fine. Huge pet walk area with grass and BURRS. Great staff, however, very friendly.

This is a Best Western/Denney's/RV park combo right off the freeway. As soon as you pull into the BW parking lot, stop by the sign that says RV registration, as you will be making a right into the Denney's lot and then a tight left into the RV park. Register in the motel office, friendly staff, breakfast buffet is free and pool can be used. These are the tightest sites we have ever seen and we have been in some tight ones over the last 5 years of fulltiming. Our slide was 12" from the slide next to us and we were on an end and pulled over as far as we could! Reservations absolutely needed if you expect 50AMP. Many sites filled with local workers. We stayed 2 nights to rest from a long trip, but we would not have had we known how tight the place was. Good for a quick overnight, convenient on/off freeway.

OK: very easy on/off toll road. That is about all I can say for this one. LOTS of trailers and permanents in the back. NO shade. Wouldn't stay here more than one overnight. Pick your own site.

Greatest hosts we have ever met! Led us to our campsite and told us to come in and pay when we were set up and rested. Needed propane and the husband came and got my husband and the tank, helped him get it out AND back in, and it was very inexpensive. No TV as the trees interfered with satellite. Easy on and off freeway. We would stay here again!

Typical gravel road/sites campground right off the freeway. Ask to be in the back of the park to avoid the noise and be close to the shower house. Great owners (live on the property) and staff who are helpful, lead you to your site. Water pressure good. Sites not too close together and some very long sites in the front of the park. Pet friendly and close enough to Springfield to see the sights. We were here during some pretty bad rain and drainage was good. Would stay here again.

Hats off to the staff of this casino RV park!!! They have a 10-10-10 rating with Good Sam and most of it has to be due to these helpful, caring people who understand the needs of the travelling RV'er. We did not intend to stay here but had a break down and were towed here to stay until we could get the truck to the Ford dealership in Manistee (this all happened on a Sat, of course). Although the park was booked, staff made sure we got to use the park facilities while stuck in the parking lot overnight and found someone to put our fiver in a site the next day (our truck didn't run at all) and made sure we had that site long enough to get the truck fixed. Great facilities, felt safe despite our plight, very pet friendly, priced right, good utilities -- we cannot say enough nice about this great place that we will always remember!!!

Another MI west coast over priced resort. Does a better job of catering to the travelling RV'er than other 'sites for sale' parks, but the water was foul, the Wi-Fi was horrible, and the fitness room was so hot you couldn't work out in it. Many complaints from lot owners. Pet friendly only if your dog can hold it till you get to a common area, but nice forest trails to walk them on. Obscure dog park with no trash cans and no one uses. Nice facilities and well maintained. Great helpful staff and no deposit/pre-pay to lose if you can't get there, unlike some other parks on this expensive and over rated coastline.

NOT impressed at all. This is yet another west coast Michigan overpriced park selling lots, taking money from the travelling RVer to make ends meet, but not catering to them at all. We had a 3-night stay planned that we could only stay the 3rd night due to a breakdown 150 miles north. Had proof of the breakdown, but because we were cancelling with less than 14 days notice, that one night cost us $159 as they refused to refund a penny for the other two nights. They were only 20% full. No wi-fi, no cable, nothing but an over appointed clubhouse with no one in it. Pet friendly only if your dog can hold it till it makes it to the east side of the lake or the northwest empty corner of the property. The town has nothing to offer. The best restaurant is Maria's, but don't order anything but the lasagna. Not sure why this park thinks its sites are worth $53/night. I don't, and will not be staying here again. In fact, I was very glad we didn't spend 3 nights here!

Park is very average in all aspects. It seems that most of the parks along the west coast of MI think they are actually in West Palm Beach or some other ritzy area because they are too expensive for what they are and because of insane cancellation policies. Be aware that the cancellation policy here is not RV traveler friendly. If you have to cancel for ANY reason including emergencies, there is a $25 fee, no exceptions. I will be boycotting all parks that require pre-paid or deposit reservations and take my chances.

Rate reflects weekly rate. And this is one of two major complaints I have about this park: it is just ridiculously expensive. At $244/week and no monthly rate, it is the most expensive place we have stayed for 7 weeks. We have to come here because we have family here to visit and there simply is no competition, but after fulltiming for five years, alas this is absolutely the most expensive place we have stayed in the country and we have stayed at better parks/resorts than this. And they have the gall to ask for a donation for their free Wi-Fi and charge guests $4 to enter on weekends! Everything else said here is true: very family oriented; lots to do especially on holidays; seasonal sites are well kept as is the whole park; only 6 miles from EVERYTHING you could possibly need; nice pool with a guard; very pet friendly; staff is extremely cordial and helpful; nice little store; across from Alum Creek recreational area; woodsy trails to follow; etc. I just hate being nickel and dimed to death after paying so much to be there in the first place. Second complaint: NO water pressure. Now they will tell you it's your rig, not them, but before we got here we stayed in many parks with no water problems. After we left, we had no water problems. The whole time we were here, we had less than 40 psi pressure, measured by our gauge. We will not be staying here again.

Date of Stay:

Truly was a safe harbor for us as we couldn't get in another park we were reserved for. Owner was very helpful on phone to assure us we would have no problem finding the park or a site exactly as we needed. Parked on a lake, great view, 90' pull through so level we didn't have to unhook, honor system to pay (put $ in envelope), restful; which is what we needed.

Date of Stay:

Made reservations a month in advance and made it clear we were big rig -- they had us in area 3 that we could hardly get in or out of, let alone back into the site with all the obstacles. Be advised, only area 2 accommodates big rigs and even that can be tight. Staff not helpful at first, but eventually one young lady helped us and we were able to park. Spent a week visiting military family, were 17 miles from them, but this was still easier than Leitner, traveling 25 MPH on base for 20 miles. Nice recreation area with beach, great for families, otherwise this is camping, not RV'ing.
