Riverside Estates RV Park, Covington, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park has improved since our previous stays! It's still not beautiful, but the terribly junky units have disappeared, and most of the seasonal places are well cared for. The restrooms are still pretty horrible, but we were pleasantly surprised by the changes. We camped at Riverside Estates RV Park in a Motorhome.

Red Gates Cottages and RV Park, Hendersonville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for two weeks and enjoyed every minute. Brown rabbits hopped around, lots of birds flitted about and sang, and it was very, very peaceful. The camp manager was extremely pleasant and helpful. The only downside was no Internet access, but we went to the library to use their's. We had breakfast at the Fireside Restaurant and Pancake Inn one morning; it was excellent and only about 2 miles from the park. We camped at Red Gates Cottages and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rodanthe Watersports & Campground, Rodanthe, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this campground, sight unseen, based on the recommendation of friends. If you love the water (this is on the "sound" side of the Outer Banks) and related water sports, this is a great place! They rent jet skis, kayaks, sailboats, surfboards, etc. The sites are extremely tight; the entrance driveway has many holes in it. To our amazement, there is no dumping station. We had the choice to: drive 15 miles one-way to a freebie at a marina or pay $15. to the KOA close-by. We couldn't get a waterfront site, but they were able to accommodate us for the Memorial Day week-end. Since we stayed 8 days, the owner/manager gave us one day free. We camped at Rodanthe Watersports & Campground in a Motorhome.

Riverside Estates RV Park, Covington, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here for a week because of a family move. There is no other RV campground close enough for our needs. Everything is disgusting, except for the pool, which is good-sized and clean. We called the place the "Bates Hotel Campground" because of the general nastiness and disrepair. Showers leak constantly; the bathhouse floor is usually wet. Most of the washers do not work. The weekly rate was $100. In a pinch, this place is OK, but, given a choice, we will never stay here again. We camped at Riverside Estates RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ash Grove Resort Cabins & Camping, Brevard, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is located 3000 feet above sea level, making it very, very comfortably cool. Shade trees abound, along with birds and other little beasties. The owners are extremely cordial and helpful; one drove our unit into place for us on top of the hill. All the roads and trails are hilly. We didn't have cell phone access (T-Mobile), but Verizon is supposed to work. The campground provides two phones for local use, one at the office and one in the bathhouse. The entire area is lovely, and the owners provide up-to-date information about local attractions and places to eat. We camped at Ash Grove Resort Cabins & Camping in a Motorhome.

Casa Motel & Campground, Minot, North Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The park owners were very helpful. When we couldn't find the park (because I didn't think to ask for specific directions), we called for help. They drove out to try to find us and direct us in! The sites are very small, but the park location is very close to town (and the highway). The best part is the nearby restaurant which the owners recommended: Homesteader's Restaurant, We camped at Casa Motel & Campground in a Motorhome.

Lake Louise Trailer Campground - Electric Hookups (Parks Canada), Banff National Park, Alberta

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Location of park is wonderful, with the Bow River so close. We were surprised to find no water hook-ups, but simply filled up the fresh water tank with the potable water at the dump station. Some pot-holes were still very much in evidence. There were only four showers for women and four showers for men for the entire trailer campground. We camped at Lake Louise Trailer Campground - Electric Hookups (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

This campground was very easy to locate, and the office people were very friendly and helpful. It's located next to a city park and along a creek. An excellent walking path is behind the park, and the area has convenient service stations and restaurants. We camped at Pikes Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Los Suenos de Santa Fe RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is on a bus route. We met a couple who was using the bus, and they were very pleased with the service. The showers were very small, and I didn't see any handicapped stalls. I would definitely stay there again! We camped at Los Suenos de Santa Fe RV Park in a Motorhome.
