First of all, I used to give this RV park a very high 9 and lots of compliments; we have stayed there many times as it is, amongst other things, a perfect place for first and last nights out when going that way. And it continues to be extremely well kept up on the grounds. But lots of issues going on with our stay there now – water heaters out for bathrooms (which we do not use anyhow) and laundry. Some washers and dryers not working. A very sassy woman at the desk who I and others had issue(s) with. Very, very disappointed and, before deciding not to go back I thought and email to the Manager – it was her first day there the day we were leaving and I did not want to “dump” on her as a welcoming present. I got a wonderful email back from her and compensation for a future visit. She said the new water heaters are in, the washers and dryers fixed and they threw a thank you party for the guests for their appreciation of bearing with them. And, “Sassy” was let go within a few days after this new manager took over. She implied more positive changes to come. And I believe her. It think back to my marketing days of something we always said, “It is not how the cart got off the path, it is how it gets back on and moving the right direction.” Time will tell, of course, but I feel confident Distant Drums will soon be back to the wonderful place it was. Yes, we will go back (and would have even without the compensation; just based on her cordial and specific email). My rating is toned down because of the experience but feel confident it will be back up there with plaudits after our next visit. For the record, the laundry is open from 6am until 10pm and every site we have ever seen is level.

We have stayed at Trailer Village several times over the years and love it. It is far better now with asphalt sites as opposed to the old gravel ones. However, you would have thought they would have leveled the sites before laying the asphalt. Most sites are very uneven; we had to have 3 blocks under the left tires. Staff is excellent. Trailer Village is convenient to the Marketplace (can walk) or the shuttle stops right there as well. Certainly hope we can return again (am a serious / professional photographer s0 take MANY pictures). We love the Grand Canyon South Rim where you can see the vast expanse of this wonder - go all the way west to east!

We use them a lot as an overnight; have stayed longer in the past. Pull thru sites are close and kinda overlap on entry and exit. And close - stepped off my bottom step and almost hit my head on neighbor's not wide slide. Laundry small (2 and 2) but clean.

We love Bryce NP very much at always stay here. Had nice long pull thru with nice shade. WiFi was fine for us. I did my usual photo work and loved it; this is a great base for this due to proximity to the Park for sunrise and sunset images.

(Rated based on weekly) As many know, I do not give out 10's but this rv park is a very high 9. Sites are large and nice - gravel and grass. Staff is great. And prices very reasonable. In the 178 different rv parks we have stayed they have, by far, the finest gift shop of any. And reasonably priced. Laundry was great - did not use the restrooms. Highly, highly recommend Thousand Lakes.

We did not have a good experience here at all. First of all the WiFi. We have been to 178 different RV parks over 17 years part time RV'ing & probably have had WiFi at 150 of them. This was the worst of all. IF you got on, which was maybe 1-2% of the time you could be dumped of without notice. I just need it for short- but important -personal /business things. They water at night. Fine. But to the point the water runs under the RV - where we had put things so as not to get wet. Soaked them and the whole picnic table top, etc. Basically the whole site. So much water it never dried up under the fifth wheel. Six washing machines; three out of order. Road noise is horrific and intensified by entry of the side road across the highway with loud vehicles / motorcycles accelerating. Two trash barrels on the property - both way in the back on the property line. We will not come back here and do not recommend it.....lots of choices in Moab. But they are nearly all very expensive.

Owner is a great guy. And most in the office. One is very condescending - dealt with that person 3 times (unfortunately) and it was like they were doing me a favor to talk to me. The last time I asked a question that they could not answer and only owner could - it dealt with best roads to next destination. I asked if they could have him call me. Was told they were very busy so ............... I did not hear from him over the next three days (nor saw him to ask) so kinda doubt he was even given the message. It is a nice place but ......

This rv park was originally a mobile home park and, as such, has some still in place. But not an issue at all. And yes, it is older (but so are we!) It is not lavish with amenities but we knew that going in - that is not high on our list of importance. We had a large site with nice views. You cannot meet nicer people than Sandra and Don; no place. Example. DW Barbara happened to mention to Sandra that she crochets as we drive - blankets for babies at a care center for very unfortunate babies. Sandra happened to be at a church yard sale and saw a bunch of yarn and bought it and gave it to Barbara - and refused to take a penny for it. We would go back there in a heartbeat. And hope we can.

This is a very nice park and we had a great site. The only downside we saw was the large percentage of long term residents in the park who do not maintain their site well - and no enforcement by the owners to make them do so.

This is a great park. I would give it a 10 but I don't give anything any place a perfect! :-) Staff is great. It is very clean. Airplane noise - yup, maybe one or two a day (we have not heard ANY today). Think it might be the only show in town but they sure don't have that attitude at all...John and his son, Patrick, are great people. And the shop in with the office is very, very nice. When making the reservation John recommended we take the time to go see El Morro which we had not done before. So we stayed an extra night and went there - a DO NOT MISS! Thank you, John. All the times we have been thru here and never had gone there.

We stayed an overnight. Low branches and tight turns but seemed very clean and nice - did not use the restrooms, etc.

This park is a pretty setting and very well kept up. It is all gravel in the main part of the park & they even dragged it out to smooth it every day - however, quite a dust storm! The sites were, for the most part, a disaster as to hookups. Ours sloped worse on the back so he told me to park to the front with the 5er. I glanced at the hookups and saw w & e midway & slides had room. Dropped the trailer but still and downslope and two blocks under the wheels to level. Find out the sewer connection is all the way to the back of the site! Choice was to re-hook & move back or use their showers...chose the latter. Some sites had hookups with part on one side of rig & part on another. Our neighbor's water connection was way over on our site almost to our slide, his elec midway and his sewer all the way to the back. Looking around, all the sites had hookup issues so be careful. And some sites tight and tight to get in to.

You will not find a better state park anyplace - simple as that. Huge sites, spotless restrooms, very well maintained in total.

This is a great park. Well kept up and staff & volunteers simply the best you will find anyplace. The WiFi continues to be an issue as it has in the past but the are going thru a massive upgrade on it. We were there a month and going back for 6 weeks a year from now.

Been here 3 times; this time for 4 nights. Previous comments were about WiFi - worked as good as 90% of other places we have stayed and was not Tengo internet. And about no signage coming south. The sign that says "RV" must have letters 3 feet high so hard to miss! We had probably the best site in the place but I reserved long ago. Staff is great and the place overall is great. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it.
