Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga, Rossville, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

So happy we found Holiday because this will be our regular stop when coming and going from FL on I-75. Great check-in, all pull-thru gravel sites, cement patio with fire ring, plenty of grass for the pups and a dog park for off-leash play. Digital channels were great and Satellite worked too. Enjoyed the park like setting and right off I75 on the TN/GA line. We camped at Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga in a Motorhome.

Graceland RV Park & Campground, Memphis, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed two nights so we could experience Beale St as well as Graceland and BBQ. Service was very good and friendly; pull through site was level but in need of TLC...picnic table was rotted and grass was spotty so when it rained it was a muddy mess. The dog walk area backed up to a large grassy area in the woods, so that was really nice. Easy access to Graceland across the parking lot. Laundry facility was great...A/C, TV and plenty of machines for this size park. Local Uber drivers said the neighborhood is dangerous and not to walk around or go to any businesses or restaurants in that area...the park has a guard and we felt safe, however. We camped at Graceland RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tiger Run RV Resort, Breckenridge, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 3 nights. When booking six months ago, did not realize the area I chose (site 212 along creek) was one of only two RV sites in that section...everything else was a chalet which did not make it feel like an RV park. Next time I will try to get in the middle of the park where the only RV sites are left. Beautiful area! Paved roads and slab. Issues with water during our whole stay (shut on and off so obviously working on some issue). They have put in a new fenced dog park so that is a HUGE plus so we could throw the ball and exercise the pups. No trash pick up in such a big park is a shame. There is a GREAT hike trail between site 160 and 161. Front desk was very friendly and let us check in 2 hours early. Indoor pool and spa looked beautiful. Great satellite reception. Will return if in area. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit Breckenridge and take gondola to top of peak 8 for summer fun! Hike McCullough Gulch Trail...about 20 min to trail head and an amazing 4-hour intermediate to challenging for those not used to the altitude or uphill climb with rocks. Go all the way to the lake!

Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

We were recommended by friends, who park their 45' Class A here year round, to stop by. Wow! We had site #25 right on the large lake and the view was spectacular! Every site has a fire pit and paved sites with paved patios. Small patches of grass and mulch separate the sites. Yes, they are close, but what can you expect with a brand new park on a recreational lake on the outskirts of one of the most fun cities in the South? The only downside for us was no fenced in dog park...they said it is in future plans. Salt water pool, dock to launch kayaks and boat launch next door. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill in a Motorhome.

It was a $20 Uber ride to downtown Nashville. We would recommend this to everyone.

Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA, Cartersville, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Granted it was a one night stop-over on Labor Day weekend, but we were so disappointed by our site. Literally a gravel parking lot in the front of the park. No fire ring...we learned later that you have to request one and they bring it to you. Office was closed by the time we learned that. So much dust and no patio. I understand "bare bones" but we typically enjoy KOA's. We have Labradoodles so looked forward to the "2 dog parks". These were two very small fenced areas where we could not even throw a ball. Sorry, I will not return. We will go closer to Chattanooga...just did not like this place at all. We camped at Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA in a Motorhome.
