Teton Peaks Lodge & RV (formerly Teton Mountain View Lodge & RV Park), Tetonia, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in a triangle of roads and the traffic lights into the coach at night go on until midnight. The view of the Teton's was non-existent, both because they were on the other side of the buildings and mountains and there was smoke. The view out of the front of the coach was either the restrooms or the adjoining motel. Lots of locals at the motel and laundry facilities taken up by maids for motel and maybe locals. NOTHING to do in town and only café closes at 3:00. Very boring and I'm sorry we reserved for 3 nights. Had to disconnect very small tow car to fit into the site. (Their info says they can accommodate any size rig). Go on to Driggs or Victor. We camped at Teton Peaks Lodge & RV (formerly Teton Mountain View Lodge & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Snake River RV Resort, Homedale, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Best park we have stayed in during our month-long trip. All Boise parks were full and I'm so glad we ended up in Homedale, even though we had to drive a ways to our events in Boise. The grass sites right on the river were wonderful and peaceful. Would have ranked a 10 except there was only 1 combination toilet/shower for women and 1 for men. (I used the men's when the women's was busy.) Will go out of our way to stay here again if anywhere in the area. (Sawmill noise just "white noise" and not bothersome.) We camped at Snake River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Bay Point Landing, Coos Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $130.00
Overall Rating:

NOT ready for prime time! Most we have ever paid for a site. Right on the water so I expected to pay for that. But restrooms are the ONLY amenity/facility they have ready. There is no vegetation (just some sand mixed with sawdust), no store, no restaurant, no pool (but under construction), temporary office on wheels, only a few fire pits they had to move around. Although view was good, fog obscured most of the time. They would not even consider any discounts. Don't stay here for several more years. We camped at Bay Point Landing in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The best seafood restaurants are in Charleston. Visit Cranberry Sweets in Coos Bay.
