Our initial impression that it was very clean, which it was, but there is very little grass in the campground so there is a lot of gravel and sand for roads and paths, resulting in a lot of dirt in the camper. Sites are wide, there was an odor of sewer in the air as if someone had a spill. Laundry closed early at 9 pm especially if you were in Baxter State Park all day. A lot of seasonals which made for a noisy climate with a lot of the sites having a lot of tacky ornaments and semi-permanent exterior 'fridges and bar-b-q's, making the place kind of tacky looking. A very small amount of necessary groceries available, such as milk, etc. The only close campground to the mountain that had water, electric and sewer. It is apparent that the seasonals are given preference and are allowed to break rules, pity as this place could be a lot more. All sites tend to look in on each other making it not very private considering that you are in the North Woods of Maine.

The campground was very difficult to navigate, the roads were narrow and trees were on corners and very close to the road. Sites were narrow. The owners were too busy too enforce their own rules evidenced by several offenders which went unnoticed, there were no activities for children and the dump station only opened at 8 am, it was locked until then. Easy to get to, close to Boston.

A beautiful campground situated on the bay, wonderful views of the ocean. Easy to get to and the sites were wide and level. Strong water and electric supply, only no sewer available. The owners and staff were very helpful with directions and with things to see and do in the local area. Good shopping nearby and antique stores in abundance. Staff cleaned the grounds every day. Some lawn mowing and minor maintenance was needed on some sites. One of Maines best campgrounds, very conveniently located. Kayak rentals a little steep, a nice picnic area with pavilion is on their own beach area, which is abundant with ocean wildlife and sea creatures.
