Hot Springs Campground & Hostel, Whitehorse, Yukon

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is situated in an aspen grove. Sights only have electricity. I felt it was overpriced since there were only pit toilets near the sights. Showers were $1 per minute, the highest we found anywhere in Canada or Alaska. It is within a short walk to the swimming pool style hot springs. There is an admission discount when you present your camping receipt. We camped at Hot Springs Campground & Hostel in a Truck Camper.

Cantwell RV Park, Cantwell, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This campground has the nicest staff you will find anywhere! The are also hardworking and clean the shower after each use. We had booked 3 nights and only stayed 2 and they refunded us without any issues. They do dog sit and walk but are limited to one or two a day so reserve this service early if you need it. Our site was typical but they space you so your not right next to each other. This may not be the case during peak times. We camped at Cantwell RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Northern Lights RV Park, Dawson Creek, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Average campground. Near the highway. Felt like we paid a good amount and yet there were pay showers and a rate of $1 for only 3 minutes. Showers were new and very nice. WiFi worked well. We camped at Northern Lights RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Driftwood Inn & RV Park, Homer, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was friendly and helpful. Our guidebook stated rates were $40-$45 but it was actually $69. Overpriced for what we got. Showers were nice and clean but we had to keep up with and leave a deposit for a bathhouse key. Our site was in clear view of a junkyard across the street. I mentioned this to the desk lady when I checked out and she didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Some sights do have a beach view. Some campers seem to be there on a permanent basis. We camped at Driftwood Inn & RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Tanana Valley Campground and RV Park, Fairbanks, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is attractive and is under tall trees. Many of the sites are divided from each other by bushes. But that's were the good ends. The restrooms and showers are FILTHY!! I'm sure it would test positive for mold. I hoped that whatever the brown stuff was on the side of the toilet bowl was mud and not what else it could be. Men's shower did not drain. Women's shower was either scalding or cold. This place has not been cleaned in years, if ever. The rules limit the number of vehicles in each site. Several sites had 4-5 vehicles in them and looked like they were not in running order. It's really sad that this campground is in such poor condition. I wouldn't recommend staying here. We camped at Tanana Valley Campground and RV Park in a Truck Camper.
