Southern Trails Resort, Unadilla, Georgia

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $2.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here under C2C Premier and the $2 cost was for 50 amp. We were in a level pull-thru site with solid gravel. Electric, water & included cable were about 20 feet away. Sewer was much closer. When someone occupies the site on our passenger side we need to share the narrow yard. Our site was looking at I-75 about 500 feet away but the road noise was not an issue for me with my poor hearing. Nice clean park with well maintained gravel roads that were easily navigated with our 40 ft motorhome towing. Satellite TV reception was good and our Verizon Broadband was 4 bars/ 4G. We camped at Southern Trails Resort in a Motorhome.

The Oaks at Point South, Yemassee, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We're thankful that they invested in plenty of gravel throughout the park since we visited two years ago. It appears that the park has improved with the general maintenance. With all the trees we could not get satellite TV reception but the free cable worked well. Our Verizon broad band was only 1 bar, 4G weak but usable. All sites are pull-thru and our's was long enough for our 40 motorhome plus our toad but no picnic table. We tried to book 14 days but could only get 9 because they were at capacity. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

The Oaks at Point South, Yemassee, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

As a TT member, no cost. Last time we visited the town roads coming in were terrible. We're very happy to report that they been fixed and are now excellent. This remains a rustic campground and as such one must use care driving a 40 motorhome around the park. Most sites are pull-thru full hookup with 50 amp & cable. Although the park is heavily treed, somehow we managed getting satellite TV every visit. Verizon Jet-Pack was 2 bars/4G, but phone was 2 bars/3G. This may not be our favorite TT park but we're sure glad it is. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

Gulf Coast RV Resort, Beaumont, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This is a first class campground. Wide concrete roads, pull-through sites, with concrete pads and patios. A nice breakfast of waffles, cereal, biscuits 'n gravy, bagels, juice, coffee and more is provided. Free WiFi. Verizon 4 bars/ 4G reception. We did not have significant rain, so no problem with the wet grass or mud. Did notice that they have placed some paver blocks to help with the water problem. They have cats in the office and I'm allergic to them, so my wive does the office stuff. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Bay View RV Resort, Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

The $10.00 rate is the campground fee, the highest we have ever experienced. If you want cable, it's $3.00 more per night. Since we are a C2C Premier we have no points. The last time we were here was about two years ago and although the roads are still on poor shape they are somewhat improved. Most of the short-term sites are sand & grass. We had good utilities including 50 amp service. It's a very pleasant park and we like the location. Our site was open enough to get good satellite TV reception. Our Verison Jetpack (My-Fi) was 2 bars/ 4G but the phone usually 1 bar / 1X. If they were a C2C Deluxe or Premier we would stay longer. We camped at Bay View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tropic Winds RV Resort (55+ Park), Harlingen, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

The rate is for a three month stay offered to Thousand Trails members and does not include electric. The electric rate was $.12 a KWH. All easy back-in sites that are slanted toward the paved road. We were able to easily level our 40 motorhome while keeping all wheels on the ground. The large concrete slab at every site is for the car/truck parking and the RV is parked on the grass. The streets are wide and paved. Most of the streets are slightly angled so heavy rains drain down the middle to large storm sewer drains. The sites are generous and excellent utilities conveniently located at the rear. Great cable TV is included free of charge. Our Verizon broadband service was 4 bars/4G. Plenty of in-season activities. Have a really nice RC car track, horseshoes, shuffle board, very nice well maintained pool. The park is almost exclusively planted with tall palm trees, so there in minimal shade but good for satellite TV reception. The park maintenance is excellent. The location is rural yet only about 4 miles to downtown Harlingen and a Super-Walmart. The only thing that stops this park from being a 10 is there are not picnic tables and no on-site fishing. We camped at Tropic Winds RV Resort (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Colorado River Thousand Trails, Columbus, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

The rate reflects the $3.00 per night 50 amp charge. Very nice park, well kept. Our site in A section was generous, solid gravel, reasonably level and easy to negotiate. This is a small park compared to some of the Thousand Trail parks, so the it had limited activities.

This park does not accept regular mail. If you required regular (1st class) mail you need to use general delivery and the post office is about six miles away. They do accept mail packages, but if it's UPS, FedX or ? it will cost your $2.00 per package.

The highlight for us at this park is the deer all over the place. Our Verizon Broad Band was 4 bars 4G. We camped at Colorado River Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

The closest Walmart is in Columbus, about 9 miles away but it is not a Superstore. Columbus has two other good sized grocery stores, Brookshire & HEB.

Cypress Camping Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed under AOR @ $9 AOR + $3 Resort fee + $3 50 amp = $15 + Sales Tax & Hotel Tax. Total of $16.46/day. Interior roads are in poor. We really like this campground because of location and the fact that we can watch the boats travel on the Intracoastal Waterway. Each site has a concrete RV pad and most are large pull-thrus. Picnic table at each site. The utility pedestals are new. Verizon signal was 3 bars / 4G & good satellite reception. We camped at Cypress Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Briarcliffe RV Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

Although crowded, this remains a first class park. All paved roads. All sites have concrete RV slabs as well as concrete patios. Any sites we've been in have been level. Good utilities including 50 amp service w/ cable TV supplied. Gated, and very secure. Well lite at night. Real nice clubhouse with boat slips behind on the Inland Waterway. Nice miniature golf. Our site just fit our 40 ft motorhome with our Jeep Cherokee parked in front. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Excellent maintenance throughout the park. Our Verizon Broad-Band was 1 bar,4G but gave us good service. Rooftop satellite TV was no problem, but some sites may have difficulty due to the mature trees in the park. We camped at Briarcliffe RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Grizzly's RV Park, Blytheville, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Rate stated is the Passport America rate. Parked in one of the three pull-through sites with 50 amp, water, and sewer. These level gravel sites are very narrow. If all three were occupied only one could even use their patio awning. The back-in sites are much more spacious.

We easily negotiated our 40 ft motorhome with Jeep in tow. It's an unusual park as the previous reviews have stated. We were very comfortable here and decided to stay another night. Consider this a good find for an overnight stop. We camped at Grizzly's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Archway RV Park (formerly Quality Times RV Park), Mount Vernon, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We parked in a long pull-thru that did not have a sewer. Our 40 ft motorhome with Jeep in tow fit. Although there are many trees we were still able to get a satellite connection. The gravel site was level and the electric looked new. One electric box supplies two sites, so if one is using 50 amp the other will have only 30 amp available. The park is well maintained. The gravel roads are narrow but doable. We camped at Archway RV Park (formerly Quality Times RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Frog Hollow Campground RV Park, Grenada, Mississippi

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient access to I-55. Add $1.96 tax to the rate shown. This park has no discounts. We parked at one of the pull-thru 50 amp sites. The site easily fit our 40 ft motorhome with our Jeep in tow. The water pressure can reach 100# so a reducer is required at the spigot. Since our regulator is mounted on the filter the park lent us a reducer at the spigot. These pull-thru sites are open so satellite reception is no problem. Each of the pull-thru sites has a long concrete patio pad and a picnic table. The site is solid gravel but not as level as one would like, however, we were able to level okay. Verizon had no 3 or 4G available and 1X was 2 bars. There are several full-time residents who look like they work on the pipeline. All these sites and RVs are well kept and these folks seemed to be good hardworking people & families. This park is a good choice for an overnight stop. We camped at Frog Hollow Campground RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bay View RV Resort, Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $7.00
Overall Rating:

This was a Western Horizon Resort (WHR) park in the past and the rate shown is what WHR designates as an "Affiliate". The rate includes full hook-up with 50 amp, WiFi and cable. Although the roads have been and continue to be in poor condition we had no problem navigating our 40' motorhome with our Jeep in tow. The grass seemed to be maintained well and our utilities were good but the park in general is rundown. Most of the sites are reasonably level with some gravel but little maintenance. There are many oaks in the park so it is often difficult to get satellite TV reception. Some previous reviews mentioned that the ponds were dried up but with the recent rain, nearly 10", the ponds are now at full capacity. Some sites were flooded and unusable. My Verizon phone was 1X with 1 bar but my Verizon Jetpack was 3 bars 4G. Both devices worked just fine. The park's WiFi like most parks is marginal at best. We enjoy the area and look forward to returning in the future. We camped at Bay View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful park. Wide concrete roads throughout. Concrete pads for the RV with a concrete patio. Very well maintained grass between the sites and the common areas. Well lit at night. Very easy access to I-10. Rate includes Full Hook-up with 50 amp, cable and WiFi. If that's not enough, you get a free complete breakfast every morning that includes home made waffles, coffee, juice cereal, bagels, doughnuts and more. The only negative is that if the area had heavy rain it will be muddy around the utility pedestal. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Wolf River Resort, Pass Christian, Mississippi

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

This is our Coast to Coast Premier home park. As such, our nightly fee is $5 (which I object to). The official name of the park is TLC Wolf River Resort. The current owners have done a wonderful job improving the park. There are several open sites up front with level gravel parking pads, concrete patio, full hook-up, some with 50 amp, large enough to hold a 45 ft motorhome and the toad. There is grass between the sites. Sites 17 - 21 require a long sewer hose. The back part of the park has large pine trees and several pull-thru sites, some with 50 amp. There are a few really nice sites parallel to the bayou with gravel parking pads and concrete patios. The park is very well maintained and staffed with very friendly helpful people. New this year they escort you to your site. Verizon was 4 bars / 4G and satellite reception (up front) was easy. The Gulf beaches are about 2.5 miles south. Several nice casinos are available within a short drive. We camped at Wolf River Resort in a Motorhome.

24 miles of white sand beaches on the Gulf. Fishing in the TLC Wolf River Bayou or the Wolf River. Several casinos near by with great buffet deals featuring large Gulf shrimp and southern dishes. The Palace Casino in Biloxi is a smoke-free casino. John Stennis Space Center is worth a visit as well as the Beauvoir - Jefferson Davis home. New Orleans is about 60 miles west.
