Vancouver RV Park, Vancouver, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, clean park with a friendly staff. No wi-fi and extremely limited channel line-up on cable TV. Lots of long-term and perm residents. They had the sense to get satellite dishes. We use this as a pit stop or while having customizations done to the coach at the nearby RV interiors store. We camped at Vancouver RV Park in a Motorhome.

Andersen's RV Park, Long Beach, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. This was where we stayed on our maiden voyage in our motorhome. Wi-fi isn't free. The staff is generally friendly. We were there during an event in the town of Long Beach. So the park was busy. Ocean is a short walk down a trail. We camped at Andersen's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Travelhome RV Park, Yuba City, California

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Nice place for an overnight stay. We stopped here on our way out on our trip and again on the return leg. Managed by a very nice and friendly retired couple. Facilities were very clean and modern. Wi-fi signal was good where we were. Mostly perms and long-term residents. But the sites were all very clean. The only drawback was the early wake-up call from the pet rooster after a long drive the previous day. We camped at Travelhome RV Park in a Motorhome.

Friendly RV Park, Weed, California

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park for an overnighter. Clean and easy to get around. Friendly staff. The back half appears to be mostly long-term and perms. But the sites aren't a mess like we have experienced at other parks of the same character. Free wi-fi, but the signal quality left a lot to be desired. A very good Mexican restaurant is a couple of blocks away. Fuel stops and mini marts plentiful. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground, Zephyr Cove, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

A steep rate, poor cell coverage and a lack of high-speed Internet access were the only major drawbacks unless you really want to get away from it all. A very family-oriented resort with lots of entertainment and recreational options close by. Some guests were less than optimal (noise, littering, and general disrespect for their fellow campers) but luckily they were only there for a night or two. Very dark at night. Watch out for bears who raid the dumpsters nightly. We camped at Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino), Verdi, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The lack of free w-fi is the only drawback here. When you consider the rates and the fact that its associated with a casino where other more mom-and-pop outfits can afford to give away wireless access it didn't make a lot of sense. Other than that the park was very clean, easy in and out, and the facilities modern and well appointed. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

Woodson Bridge RV Park, Corning, California

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

After a very long drive we were very disappointed to pull into this place. It appears to have been a state park at one time in the distant past. But now it is in very poor condition and we were under the impression that we were the only transient visitors. The rest being long-term or permanent residents. Besides being in a general state of disrepair and filthy, there were ants all over the place, disgusting over-filled dumpsters that you could smell clear across the park, and none of the things we have come to expect in even some national parks we have stayed at (such as basic phone service and cable TV). The adjacent county park is in an equal state of disrepair. I would not recommend staying here. We left as soon as we could and found a much nicer and cleaner park in Yuba City. We camped at Woodson Bridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Seven Feathers RV Park, Canyonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in a class of its own. We have stayed in some nice parks, but this one is by far the best. The only down side would be camping in proximity to the truck stop and tire center. There is a lot of noise at all hours. But on the other side of the park its very quiet and the general atmosphere is beautiful, clean, and top notch. With 24-hour shuttle service you can always get to the store or casino and back with ease. We will definitely stay here again. It was a stop on our way south and again on our way back home heading north. The window washing service on departure day was a very nice touch. We camped at Seven Feathers RV Park in a Motorhome.
