Copper Breaks State Park, Quanah, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Although the restrooms and showers were not the cleanest (keep in mind It's no commercial campground) this was a unique experience. The campground was almost deserted, only 1 other RV was there. The views were awesome and the quietness was over welling. The park ranger was nice and helpful and full hookups were no problem. A once in a lifetime experience. I only wonder why people always leave their mess behind In these kind of places. We camped at Copper Breaks State Park in a Motorhome.

Not a very nice park, lots of permanent residents and nature is hard to find. Good for a overnight stay but no "destination" campground although the lady at the counter was very helpful. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice campground with nice people to help you. A small creek is running through the park but It was dry when we stayed there. Spa and sauna are really small. Not a "destination" campground. We camped at Little Rock North / Jct. I-40 KOA in a Motorhome.

Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Busy campground behind the Pigeon Forge "strip". Sites facing each other so no privacy on your (concrete) porch. The few trees made It look like a town Instead of a campground. Maybe a great place to visit If you want to go to Dollywood but no "back to nature" experience. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Motorhome.

Real kid friendly campground, wooded site with nice, helpful people. Not far away from caverns and natural bridge. Paved roads to sites and good level sites. Relaxed atmosphere and easy access to highway. We camped at Natural Bridge / Lexington KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice, green campground, the drive to the campground was beautiful. Fireflies are visible at night and the only sound you hear are the beetles and grasshoppers around your site. We camped at Philadelphia / West Chester KOA in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe KOA, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground, nice, helpful people too. The campground is well maintained and close to various sights. Hummingbirds flying around the shop/office and you can even have a seat in front of the shop where background music is playing. Great sun set views, the only thing missing is a swimming pool but at night the temperature drops below the 80's so cooling of isn't a problem. We camped at Santa Fe KOA in a Motorhome.
