Overall Rating:

This is a great campground. It is our favorite in the Pigeon Forge area. Good location, nice large level sites. The staff is great. We had a river site with a lot of grassy area between the site and river. We camped in a travel trailer and will stay here again. We camped at River Plantation RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Elkmont Campground (NPS Campground), Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very rustic campground located in the Smokies. It's located just a short drive from Gatlinburg. Nice river runs through the middle of the campground, very wooded, very relaxing. The only problem with Elkmont is no hook ups and no cell phone service. It's a great place to go to get away and just relax. We camped at Elkmont Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Cages Bend COE, Gallatin, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground on Old Hickory Lake. It's located just a few miles outside Nashville. The campground offers 43 sites with electric and water hook ups. There is a playground, a group pavillon, a dump station, a boat launch, and laundry facilities. there is no swim area. The bath houses were clean. The interior road is a little narrow but is paved. Most of the sites are large tiered sites with table, fire ring, lamp holder on fine gravel pads. They have a few sites that have all concrete pads. There is a lot of grassy area with mature trees, not heavy woods, but plenty of shade. We were very pleased with this campground and would return . We camped at Cages Bend COE in a Travel Trailer.
