Lakeside RV and Campground, Provo, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good park. They have a great pool and their campsites are just fine. Their internet got the slowest speed rating I have ever seen on Speedtest.net for an RV park. Our Verizon internet has an external antenna and is amplified. The Provo airport is across the street and jammed it almost completely. Late night check-in is epic. Had to stand in a swarm of 10,000 bugs to register. This is not an exaggeration. We camped at Lakeside RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $30.00

Great park. Read other reviews for confirmation. My BIG complaint with this park is that they store all your drivers license info (number/DOB/Address), credit card # and vehicle plate #'s in a database. I can't imagine it being secure. It makes me feel very vulnerable. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $44.00

Sardine park. Last year they had a Good Sam price of $33. Now there is no more Good Sam and it's $43! It is so cramped we can barely open our front door (literally). It's located in town. Management is superb. Owners are greedy. We camped at Canyonlands RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Apache Palms RV Park, Tempe, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

I'm really fond of this little park. It's in the middle of the city and the staff is super awesome. Spent most of the past winter here. Spent most of the previous winter here also. The neighborhood is getting better, but my expensive bike was stolen. A fancy lock didn't protect it. Keep an eye out and help make this a safer park. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Motorhome.

Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

10AM checkout. What kind of hospitality is that? Had to park the toad across their lot because they said it might be in the way of other campers. The park was near empty. I wanted to tell them off and forfeit our camping fee, but was too tired to look for another campground. The owner is ambitious (doing maintenance at 6AM) and grouchy. Facilities were spotless. We camped at Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

JGW RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $35.00

I love this little park. Stopped by chance. Camped on the river. It is a little paradise. The park next door (Sac River) always had squadrons of cops emerging in and out. I already booked my spring reservation for the JGW. We camped at JGW RV Park in a Motorhome.

One of our favorites. You can pull up to the ocean. Sites are roomy. Store is well stocked. Owners are friendly. FYI, we had hyper vivid dreams there. Talked to some neighbors and they said the same. We camped at Sea Perch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Jackson Wellsprings Campground, Ashland, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is not an RV park. It is a run down, full on friendly hippie commune. Weeds, dirt, vile, stinky, sulfur-water with 90% permanents in ratty rusted trailers, and nasty bathrooms are what's here at the park. However, the Wellsprings is semi-separate from the park, and it's pretty good. They have a huge colder springs pool and a huge hot springs pool. It's a great place to to take the toad to and soak your aching bones. Highly recommended! Due note: still more hippie vibe than not. We camped at Jackson Wellsprings Campground in a Motorhome.

The Redwoods RV Resort, Crescent City, California

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park's website is slick. The park is good, not great. The reviews seem over-hyped: could the park owners be padding the reviews? You will be camping in a fairly wooded park, kind of like dozens of others in Northern California, Oregon and Washington. There are no BIG TREES. We camped at The Redwoods RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mad River Rapids RV Park, Arcata, California

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This park is old and run down. The Wi-Fi only works around the office. There is an odd mix of travelers and homesteaders and crackheads here. We wanted to leave but they do not give refunds. Only usable as an overpriced, overnight port. Oh: the Mexi restaurant next door is sub-Denny's quality with green-grey, low quality food. We camped at Mad River Rapids RV Park in a Motorhome.

Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground, Zephyr Cove, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $71.00

A beautiful beach on Lake Tahoe is across the street. Many spots here take finesse to back into. It is pricey and staffed by kids. But...there's that beautiful beach on Lake Tahoe across the street. It's a gem! We camped at Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
