Carpinteria State Beach, Carpinteria, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Was lucky to get in. $70 full hookups...$45 no hookups. My space was basically a parking space for tenters vehicles! Managed to squeeze my 40ft SUV plus TT into the space without having to disconnect. Fires at night really smokey...but quiet overnight. Would stay here again due to Brewery location! We camped at Carpinteria State Beach in a Travel Trailer.

Within staggering distance from Surf Brewery...make sure you take a flashlight with you....you might trip over the BBQ or worse impale yourself on a water spigot in the park you have to cross

Green Acres RV Park, Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Very tight....most spaces back in and require dis-connect of tow vehicle. Sites very tidy. Quiet location. Friendly office staff, help with parking in very tight spot. Mostly full timers in park, rear spaces access from side street not main entrance. Security did not seem to be an issue. Great access to LRT. We camped at Green Acres RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Kit Fox RV Park, Patterson, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

I booked ahead that morning, this place fills up. Office staff very friendly....wifi weak, but OK if boosted. Remote shower building ...showers take a long time to warm up if you're the first one in the morning! Pull through site not level but ok for one night. Just far enough away from the I-5. Came back a week later, phoned ahead, told no pull thru's but arrived late and found they reserved one for me. Great place to stop. I will be back! We camped at Kit Fox RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Gas stations in area were a little pricey....there is a travel plaza about 1 or 2 stops north on I-5 The Mexican restaurant opposite the park has good food and beer on tap. There is a gate in the park you can use as a shortcut to get there

Overall Rating:

First space 26 allocated was flooded moved to space 38.

As usual this park is very good. The shuttle is a big bonus. Excellent craft beer selection at the Truck Stop in the cooler.

I always like to stop here. We camped at Seven Feathers RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Thursday night seafood buffet was not worth it, unless you want to mess about with skinny crab legs all night. Not enough alternatives. Plus my buzzer lost its charge, so I ended up waiting a lot longer. Won't be doing that again.

Sports bar food looked good and had some nice craft beer on tap

Flag City RV Resort, Lodi, California

Location is perfect for overnight off the I 5. However the price is steep and about 7 mile from Downtown Lodi which is nice.
Certain smell in the morning suggest a treatment plant nearby?? We camped at Flag City RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Mount Vernon RV Park, Mount Vernon, Washington

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Their credit card machine denied two of my cards. Had to use cash. My bank reported that their machined was in error. Never had any other problems heading south.
This park is mostly long termers so you need to reserve a space ahead of time. Great for an overnight stop, but you face Seattle traffic if heading South in the morning ie Mt. V to Renton 2hrs. We camped at Mount Vernon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great for overnight, grassy sites, reasonably level... busy at Easter with ATVers and boaters. Easy access to Hwy 10 but not noisy at night. Problem with on demand hot water first thing in the morning even after running it 5 mins...shower at night? We camped at River Breeze RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Wifi antenna on the toilet building roof. Walk towards it to pick up the signal then go back to your trailer....it should hold your signal..
My gps was off on the exact location, watch for sign. You have to drive thru the day use area to access the RV park. The Hop Valley Brewpub Restaurant in Springfield has awesome food and beer!

Bearing in mind, that the price in CDN funds with tax is $39.85 I found it hard to figure out why they charged for the showers! Spaces are treed and it's quiet. Wifi is ok. Great for an overnighter for heading south. We camped at Peace Arch RV park in a Travel Trailer.

Found a great diner for breakfast, Rosie's Diner, on King George Blvd. About 5 mins south. Access out onto Hwy 40 is a big problem esp. at rush hour.
