Not a bad campground but close to I-65 so there is a lot of vehicle noise. Restrooms and showers were very clean. The staff was extremely nice and allowed us to put up two tents in addition to our trailer so we could have 10 of us on one site. The 50 amp sites and cable TV advertised do not exist and you can only use the Wi-Fi at the office. The playground and pool were OK and they have free miniature golf.

Very nice, clean park. We had a "Buddy" site which was 2 sites together as we camped with our daughter's family and a package deal which included unlimited use of the water park, a one day golf cart rental, and one free ice cream social. Sites were graveled and fairly level. The roads were graveled also and were a little dusty. There were many activities which our grandkids enjoyed. The water park and pool were very nice but extremely crowded on the weekend. We had no trouble at all with any of the staff - they were all very friendly and helpful. The only reason I gave this campground a 7 and not a 9 or 10 was the showers. There were only 5 each and they were very small, very outdated, and we could never get the water temperature regulated. We were either being scaled or frozen. They were also quite a distance from most of the campsites and no where near the pool or water park. The only good thing I can say about them was that they were clean.

This is an old campground. The site we had was very shady but an odd shape and extremely unlevel. Water pressure was very low. We had to use leveling blocks 5 high to get level. We had to park at the back of the site to hook-up and have enough room to open our awning but the picnic table and grill were at the far front of the site and off to the side. The bathroom was always dirty - water on the floor, mud, toilet paper all over. The showers were OK. We've camped in other VA state parks which were much nicer. Don't think we'll go back here.

This is a great campground. We had a huge site with lots of shade and a lot of room bewteen us and the neighbors. The bathrooms and showers were extremely clean. The showers were some of the nicest I have seen anywhere. The staff and rangers were all very friendly and helpful. You can rent canoes and tubes to use on the James River and there are many nice hiking trails. We will be back in the fall.

This campground is OK as a one night stop, but we won't go there again as a weekend destination. We were there over Memorial day weekend and the campground was very lightly populated. They stacked a bunch of campers together while the rest of the campground was nearly empty. They don't have fire rings at every sight but were moving them for people. We asked for one and they asked us to share with the people next to us. Our grandkids were disappointed that we couldn't have a campfire. At $58.00 a night, we thought it was very pricey. The campground was clean and the staff were pretty friendly.

This is a HUGE campground but feels homey. Everything was very clean and neat and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. There are a lot of things for kids to do. Our site was a reasonable size - we saw larger ones but we had plenty of room. We were there for the Halloween celebration weekend and they had many activities but some were a little pricey. We did enjoy decorating our site and taking the grandkids trick-or-treating. The jets flying into Oceana went right over head and were extremely LOUD but only on Friday - nothing over the weekend. We were expecting this so were not really bothered. We were bothered by the teenagers driving the golf carts in the campground. There were a lot of them and they drove recklessly - sometimes racing - with their radios blasting. The campground security people chased some of them down and took their keys but then we'd see them again later. We could not let our grandkids go anywhere without us for fear they'd be run over. We really liked this campground but will not return if they continue to allow kids to operate golf carts. We would have given this campground an 8 or 9 but the golf cart situation was a big minus.

If you like large sites, lots of shade, and quiet this is the place. Beautiful campground in the woods - far from anything except a country store. Nice ponds for fishing and a small lake for swimming. Showers are a little dated and spartan but very clean. Staff were very professional and helpful. Great place to just relax!

Very nice, clean campground. We had a large group of 9 people including our 4 grandchildren and the owners were very accommodating. Our site was huge and they allowed us to park 3 vehicles on the site and put up a tent in addition to our trailer. They put us right in front of the playground which was great for the kids and for us to be able to keep an eye on them. Only reasons I did not give this campground a 10 were: 1) the bathroom and showers were very clean but only had 2 mens and 2 womens showers stalls for the entire campground. At times we had to wait to shower. 2) The swimming pool was quite a distance away, down a very large hill near the office with no parking available. With 4 small kids and a bum knee, it was an issue. Other than these two issues, it is a great campground and we will go there again.

Very nice, clean campground. We had a nicely shaded spot which was quite large. It was very quiet as it is a good distance from the interstate. We will camp here again.

Great campground. Even though it is very large, it is quiet. All the permanent sites are in the back in a separate area. Our site was very large. We had our 5 year old granddaughter with us and there was a lot for her to do. The beach was only a 3 block easy walk. This is the nicest campground we have seen in Myrtle Beach and we will be going there again.

Campground was nice and clean and relatively quiet despite the large number of children there. Our site was very small - we barely had room to put our awning out. There were other larger sites. We have a 26' travel trailer and made reservations for 10 nights so don't know why they put us on the smallest site in the campground. We saw some other campgrounds in the area we will try next time.

Nice, clean, campground. Away from high traffic roads so is very quiet. Our site was a reasonable size. The staff were very polite and helpful. This was the nicest campground we have stayed in in Williamsburg. We will camp there again.
