Olive Branch Campground, Oregonia, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

While this is not an RV Resort it is a very nice campground. It is clean and the grounds are well maintained. The management is working hard to fix up this place. The roads are gravel so it is a bit dusty, but this is a campground not the Taj Mahal. The only thing I can see that needs attention are the electric poles. At some of the sites they are placed a little far from their assigned site. I was told that the management is in the process of having the electric upgraded and re-positioned. I just mentioned that there were some tree limbs touching my motorhome and were right there trimming them back. Excellent response to a minor request. This campground is only about 10 to 15 minutes from King's Island. I highly recommend this CG and we will return. We camped at Olive Branch Campground in a Motorhome.

What can you say, this place is about as good as it can get. Ultra clean. Beauitful facility. You can tell a lot of thought went into the layout. Management was very helpfull. We were there with a group of about 25 rigs and they did an excellent job taking care of our needs. We camped at Harbortown RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Austin Lake RV Park and Cabins, Toronto, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

I would rate this campground higher if the road access was better. The hill you need to descend to the campground is steep and narrow. Of course, the campground owner doesn't have any ability to fix the county roads. The owner is readily available and goes out of his way to make your visit as pleasant as possible. This owner knows the importance of keeping his customer happy. We enjoyed our stay and would return to this campground again. We camped at Austin Lake RV Park and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Manchester KOA, Manchester, Tennessee

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent campground except for one thing. Freeway noise. The hosts are great, and they have about everything you could want. Wifi, movies, full hookups, swimming pool, hot tub, nature trail. The sites are fairly level. Most of the people we saw come and go didn't need much to level up. If only it didn't have all the noise. We camped at Manchester KOA in a Motorhome.

Sun Valley Campground, Chillicothe, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Our sites were in a shaded grassy area. Nice area for groups. Lots of seasonals and full time mobile homes. Nice pond for fishing although I don't think I'd swim in it. The owners have a generator running 24/7. Not real noisy, but we could still hear it when we went to bed. While we cleaned up after our pets, the "locals" didn't do the same. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice campground to use to go see the drama Tecumseh. A must see. We camped at Sun Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

East Harbor State Park, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

They've made some nice improvements. The volunteers do a very good job keeping their areas picked up. As soon as someone leaves, they're there to pick up and make sure the site is ready for the next camper. WiFi has been installed and is available in the camp store area. You can get it from the parking lot. Lots to do in the area. We camped at East Harbor State Park in a Motorhome.

Cedarlane RV Park, Port Clinton, Ohio

Date of Stay: May, 2006 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is very nice. Clean, level in the area we were in, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of seasonals here. The site we had was shaded although most of the ones at the rear of the campground were not as lucky. The pool was clean and they have a nice kiddie pool. There are several dump stations all over the place so when it came to dumping on the way out, there wasn't a big delay. Overall, very nice. We camped at Cedarlane RV Park in a Motorhome.

Little Farm On The River LLC, Rising Sun, Indiana

Date of Stay: March, 2006 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice little campground. The owners, which were very helpfull and friendly, are trying hard to make improvements. Our sites were level and were gravel. They back up to the fishing pond. Very pleasant. We would have taken advantage of more of the facilities but it rained all weekend. Can't blame that on the campground. I would recommend this campground. It's very family oriented. We camped at Little Farm On The River LLC in a Motorhome.

Nice quiet CG. Beautiful view. Helpful, friendly owners. They are working hard to make some major improvements to the facilities. Don't know all the story of the other poster, but I didn't see any problems. Sites are level and good size. If we return to this area, we would stay here again. We camped at Lancaster / New Holland KOA in a Motorhome.

Lake Loramie State Park, Minster, Ohio

Date of Stay: October, 2005 - $27.00

This is a very nice state park campground. Large level sites, some lakeside. Lots of shade. Beautiful playground with volleyball court. The only reason I don't rate it higher is that it's electric only. We camped at Lake Loramie State Park in a Motorhome.

Whispering Hills Jellystone Park Camp-Resort (formerly Whispering Hil, Shreve, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2005 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Over all we like this CG, but there are a few things they could do better. They accept no discounts. The putt putt is free. For the price of a pull through premium site, I would have expected it to be paved, it wasn't very level and was too narrow. There are lots of open areas but the campers seem to be too close together. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We will stay here again. We camped at Whispering Hills Jellystone Park Camp-Resort (formerly Whispering Hil in a Motorhome.

Smith's Pleasant Valley Campground, Loudonville, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2005 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I would rate this CG much higher if it had nice restrooms. Most of the restrooms were pit toilets. Some shade. Sites are grass and fairly level. Canoeing the river is the big thing here and they will pick you up at the CG and you row down the river back to the CG and just leave the canoe there. Very easy and a nice way to spend an afternoon. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They pick up trash all day everyday, which is nice. It would also be nice if it had another dump station. (just a suggestion) My only real complaint were the restrooms. We camped at Smith's Pleasant Valley Campground in a Motorhome.
