Cedar Point Resorts / Lighthouse Point Campground, Sandusky, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

I have to rate this low because of the reservation system. We reserved a full hook up site only to arrive and have them tell us that we did not. After showing proof that we had, we ended up having to move 3 times before they got us on the right site. We camped at Cedar Point Resorts / Lighthouse Point Campground in a Motorhome.

Beechwood Acres Camping Resort, Wilmington, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The sites we were in were very close. About 4 feet from my neighbors slideout to my awning. Paying $30 a night and they had pay showers. Swimming pool was great. Big screen TV in the shelter house was nice. Management was working hard on improvements. Lots of bugs! Management handled some rowdies fairly well. When it was quiet time they had them pretty well shut down. If there was a little more room on the sites and you didn't have to pay for the showers, I would have rated it higher. We camped at Beechwood Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

West Branch State Park, Ravenna, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

For a state park CG, this was one of the nicest ones I've ever run across. Newly re-built. All new shower houses. Beautifully done. They added several full hook up pull through sites. All the sites are paved and the one I was on required very little to level. Large sites with lots of shade and open areas. Several volunteers help with check in and any problems you might have. Bar none the nicest state park CG I've ever been to! We camped at West Branch State Park in a Motorhome.

Natural Springs Resort, New Paris, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Our camping club held a rally here in June of 2005. This is an excellent park. Most of the sites are level, roads are paved, sites are gravel. Lots of things to do. Beauitful spring fed lake. Quite, lots of shade. The only reason I didn't give it a higher mark is that on our full hook up site the sewer was on the wrong side. Seemed like all of them were that way. Otherwise a very nice campground. I would camp there again. We had a group of 10 RV's and about 30 people and they were very accommodating. Friendly staff. We camped at Natural Springs Resort in a Motorhome.

Baylor Beach Park, Navarre, Ohio

Date of Stay: May, 2005 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice little park. The only draw back might be for those who need a shower house. The only one is at the entrance of the park. About 400 yards from most of the camping area. Otherwise it is a very well maintained, shady campground. Great water park, mini golf. Nice shelter houses and pavilion. The sites are gravel and it took very little to get level. Owners are very friendly and helpful. We stayed here in a motorhome in 2005. We camped at Baylor Beach Park in a Motorhome.
