Camp Hatteras RV Resort & Campground, Waves, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay. Short walk to the beach. We drove to a public vehicle access to drive on the beach (2 miles away ??) Stayed in site 21 which was difficult to back in because the road begins to turn to the left and it's a one way street. When we left I went right because of the sharp turn. Besides that, we had a good time, nice people, great weather and no bugs. We camped at Camp Hatteras RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The Refuge on Roanoke Island, Wanchese, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay. We come down a couple times a year to the OBX. We have a timeshare in Kittyhawk which we use in June so we planned a trip to the Refuge in August. There is a great seafood market not far. Located in Wanchese. The seafood is straight off the boat and you can't go wrong. Plan to come back next summer. We camped at The Refuge on Roanoke Island in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Nice level shaded sites. Really busy on the weekend with locals (no problems). Come Monday we had the place to ourselves. 2 pools and a water slide. Lots for kids to do. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Luray in a Travel Trailer.
