Great park for young children with plenty to do. Preferred sites appear to be the best available with wide areas. Pool well guarded and managed. Wi-Fi is intermittent, cell service good. Quiet at night. Only drawback is dusty roads. If everyone including golf carts drove at a reasonable speed, the dust would be more manageable.

Rate reflects package rate for preferred site. Entry road has been newly paved but not difficult to maneuver. Interior roads require slow speed. Suspect by design for pedestrians, bikes, golf carts, handicapped. Pool popular and well guarded, sites quiet at night, many activities for kids. Wi-Fi and cable OK. Staff helpful, trash picked up all day.

Nice appearance, convenient and open all year. High rate obviously due to prime vacation week BUT place not full: perhaps due to high rate. And you would think for the rate charged you wouldn't have to pay 25 cents for seven minutes in a shower. Some kids here, a nice pool: but if you want kid activities this isn't the place. You kind of get the flavor from the sign in the office. "If you don't like the rules, buy the campground and make your own rules."

Small park. Be sure to follow signs off I-88. Nice people. No cable or sewer hookups. Dump site available. Many seasonals but they were congenial. Good for overnight.

Popular place to stay while visiting Turning Stone Casino. Be sure and get a reservation. Back-in sites are at 90 degrees with limited turning space for larger 5th wheels. The trees are maturing and many are planted close to turning points so watch corners. Sites level and pull throughs very nice.

F - Fox Area has 3 way hookups in spaces of varying length. About 57 spaces. Old design, everything at right angles and very well spaced apart. Spent a week there with some rainy days -- some sites were deep in water and mud because tow vehicles have to park on grass. Sites are paved but grooved from use and may tilt forward so bring leveling blocks. All in all a nice place.

About 4 miles off I-81 with some county roads that need a little work. Owners live on site, very helpful and escort you to site. Grass sites, good lengths and easy in and out. Stayed overnight while traveling. Quiet. Will top again.

I have been a strong and vocal supporter of this business, camping there since it opened every year for nine years and enjoyed sun, bugs, rain, wind, and cold. This would have been the 10th year except for the surly attitude of the "manager" toward a loyal customer. Calling to confirm my week in September 2011 for site H8 I was informed that no specific site could be assured, and furthermore he knew of no campground anywhere that reserved specific sites as he was a seasoned "RVer". He was advised that I had reserved specific sites for the past 9 years. Not possible he countered, in spite of my experience doing it. Furthermore, if I had reserved a specific site and someone arrived an hour earlier and wanted the site I had reserved, he would give it to them. I cancelled the 10th year at AIR. I wrote the owner whom I met on several occasions and never received an answer. Just be forewarned about "reservations" that are not really reservations at AIR. I'm spending my vacation dollars at another RV park in the 1000 Islands. And I have a reservation and confirmed site number -- just like many others in the US and Canada.

Spent four days there with the grand kids and enjoyed our time. The campground is about 5 miles off I-70 on excellent roads. Yes, the entrance road requires a prudent slow speed but manageable. Greeted at the security gate with all information, site number, wristbands, and information. Advised to pull forward for escort and out popped our guide in about 30 seconds. Reached the premium site area with long pull throughs and wide sites. Well landscaped and full briefing by our guide. Trash picked up all day, Wi-Fi and cell service good. All staff extremely friendly with large number of lifeguards at pool. Parents need to monitor their children better at the pool -- "accidents" caused the pool to close for 3.5 hours two days in a row to disinfect/shock the water. Bummer considering length of time required.

Rate shown is for premium lakefront pull-through on a holiday week. This is the 8th year we have spent time at AIR. For us, it is complete relaxation and recharge time. The staff is accommodating and the owner "Doc" is frequently seen on the island insuring smooth operation. The constant breeze is refreshing and unusually cool (70) for a July week this year. The marina was busy with pleasure craft and fishermen the entire week. Our area was quiet without ATVs, motorcycles, and while the puppy population was high, they were well behaved. If you just want to read, watch the water, or sleep, try AIR. There are good restaurants in the area and Watertown is 20 minutes away with all things required.

Very friendly management. Set in large ponderosa pines. All gravel as grass is non-existent. Very nice place, quiet, clean. No highway noise. 1 miles south of Colorado Springs, 33 miles from Royal Gorge.

This was an emergency stop due to car trouble. Very accommodating and helpful on the phone with locating a repair garage who handled my problem without charge - George's Repair. It is comfortable and appears to be used a lot as a stopover on I-70. The pool was inviting and rabbits came out to inspect visitors. Some highway noise but the A/C drowned that out.

I've come to realize that grass is a sparse commodity in the Rocky Mountain area, so learn to live with that fact that you will park in gravel/dirt. The management here was very pleasant and did not charge me for the missed first night due to car trouble. The spots are all back in but very wide. I could park the trailer, have room for a picnic table, and park the tow vehicle nest to that with comfortable space in between. Deer wander thru and it was quiet. Looking at the other campgrounds, I'll come back to this one.

If you need to pull in for a night, it's everything everyone has said below. If you have to use a back in site, they are short and your hook up is under the next guys awning. And the back in's are probably no more than 50-60 feet from active freight tracks. A port in a storm.

One of the best planned and laid out campgrounds we have visited. WI-FI was strong and bathrooms extremely clean. Grounds maintained extremely well. Quiet and well spaced sites.
