Moon River RV Resort, Mohave Valley, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground away from noise and traffic but close to everything you want to see or do near Bullhead City or Lake Havasu. Friendly staff and managers. Nice sized lots which have good hook ups and level. Be aware they do NOT accept credit cards (only to hold reservation). Cash or check only. Lots of open area to walk our dog. They offer free Wi-Fi which sometimes worked very very well and sometimes not. Had it not been for this we would have enjoyed a months stay here. A nice park and we were in the area again we would stay here. We camped at Moon River RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Beaver Creek RV Park, Rimrock, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2011 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Price reflects weekly stay. We like small parks which are out of the way so this one fit the bill. Sites are wide and level and easy access. Stayed a week while visiting the sites in the area. I think we were the only travelers in the 10 site campground. Several other campers appeared to be long term residents. Our only issue was absolutely no place convenient to walk our dog and for that reason we would not stay again. We camped at Beaver Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for a month while exploring the area. Rate based on monthly stay. We loved the park and area. Far enough out of town to not be bothered by traffic but close enough for easy access to events. Lots of activities if you like. Wonderful walking/hiking trails right out the back of campground. Very environmentally friendly. Level sites with good Wi-Fi, power, water, etc. Probably the best thing about the park was the Monday morning coffee/donuts and informational session with the owner. He is definitely in the right business, he makes the whole stay worth while. Everyone in the park was super friendly. if we were going to spend the whole season in one area this is where we would choose to be. We camped at Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

The Parkway RV Resort, Orland, California

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

WOW, this is our kind of park. Country setting, small park, large grassy level sites, quiet, clean, great dog walking area, close to activities, friendly helpful staff. The mature shade trees are great. Couldn't ask for more except maybe cable TV and free Wi-Fi (which is why it didn't get a 10). We were able to set up our satellite dish and use our air card with great reception so not really that big a deal. We stayed 3 days while visiting family in the area. The laundry facilities are top shelf and affordable. Even offer on site hand RV wash ($) which was a huge bonus. To get the discount price you must pay with check or cash which is really no big deal. This park (in our opinion) would be perfect for extended stays as well as overnight. We will be back. We camped at The Parkway RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Chugach State Park: Eagle River Campground, Eagle River, Alaska

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We were very pleasantly surprised with this campground. The sites are pretty level, paved, private, and clean. Even the overflow area was nice which had many campers when we were there. After touring 5 campgrounds in and around Anchorage we chose this one because of cost, convenience and locale. We stayed 3 nights. Great walking/hiking path along the river. Would be a 10 if it had electric and water. Use of generators is not a problem. Camp host is on site. Cash or check only. $5 for dump. Would stay again in a heart beat. Get there early as it fills up its 57 sites early. We camped at Chugach State Park: Eagle River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Mile 0 Park & Campground, Dawson Creek, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

They pack them in here. WiFi was good and this park is close to town for sight seeing. There is lots to see and do in Dawson Creek. Everything worked well (electric, water, WiFi, etc.) Saw lots of folks using the showers and laundry although we did not. Most sites are small but good for an overnight. We would stop again. We camped at Mile 0 Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Triple G Hideaway, Fort Nelson, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Okay as far as parks on the Alaska Hwy go. We had a large pull through near the office with good wi-fi and cable TV. There was highway noise, and it was dusty. Good places to walk dog and, museum next door was excellent. Lots of work needed to be done in this park. Lots of workers in back end of park. There was an RV wash at rear of park. Would stop again but would request a site at rear of park with less noise. We camped at Triple G Hideaway in a Fifth Wheel.

Tomahawk Speedway Campground, Tomahawk, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: October, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We happened on this campground by accident and boy were we happy. Very secluded and natural. Self check in. Honor system. It is adjacent to race way so I imagine it can be noisy during race nights. Sign posted states rates doubled during Harley weekend, when ever that is? We were the only campers in the park, and the water must have been turned off for the season but electricity was on, so we made a bonfire and had a wonderful quiet evening. Level pull through site. No cement in this park. All grassy sites, some with sewer. We will be back if ever in the area. No owners, managers, or staff around but phone number posted if help was needed. We camped at Tomahawk Speedway Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park. Free continental breakfast was an especially nice perk. We were able to make waffles in the shape of Texas. Cable did not work the best but WIFI was good. About half the park is reserved for monthly stays. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The sites were clean, neat and level. Easy access to interstate and sight seeing in the area. Sandollar Resort Motel and RV Park, Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2007 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this park. It has great roomy sites, paved and grassy, with lots of huge old live oaks and shade trees. Cable worked well, beautiful view of bay from park and dock across the street from the rear entrance. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The facilities do need updating, but given the fantastic sites this was not an issue. Many Winter Texans here. We paid $4 a day for WIFI. We will return and are considering making this one of our destination parks. We camped at Sandollar Resort Motel and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
