Date of Stay:

New campground, still being landscaped. Nice staff, clean buildings, gravel drive, level sites. Flat with no shade, but it's lovely New Mexico. Not too much road noise the one night there. Would stay here again if in the area.

Abilene KOA

Abilene, Texas

Date of Stay:

This very nice KOA was adjacent to Interstate 20. It had a secluded feel, not too much road noise, wonderful old trees, nice staff, and clean buildings. We stayed a night and would return when in the area.

Date of Stay:

This is a wonderful, small campground at the top of Raton Pass (watch closely for Exit 460 when travelling south on Interstate 25 - it's a long way to the next one if you miss it). It has a super nice staff, clean buildings, very nice restrooms, not much road noise, and fabulous views. Go up the dirt drive from the office to gravel and nice level sites. We stayed only one night but are looking forward to staying longer in the future.

Date of Stay:

Nice, if a bit crowded (many "snowbirds"), campground in a good location (pay attention to directions to avoid a bad railroad crossing). It had a nice staff, clean buildings, paved and level sites. It is nice and quiet back by the golf course. There is easy access to trail. We would stay here again when in the area.
