Oak Creek RV Park, Weatherford, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This a very nicely arranged park. The spaces are large and paved, it has a small swimming pool, a very nice meeting area, laundry facilities and friendly staff. It is also right on the interstate and incredibly noisy all day and all night. Way too noisy to even sit outside. We have dogs and the stickers were bad enough to keep the dogs out of the grass. The dog park got really nasty because of inconsiderate owners and lack of attention from maintenance. Mostly full timers and very expensive. We camped at Oak Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area, Littlefield, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here in the fall. Weather was fantastic. Scenery was spectacular. The place was filthy. Trash cans were full. When they were emptied trash bags were stacked up around dumpster. Directly off interstate. It feels like you are camping in a rest area. We visited with an Arizona State Trooper and were told the only way to make camp safe was to lock gate at night. Of course BLM didn't care to do that. We might overnight here again in a pinch but we would stay inside and keep doors locked. We camped at Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

Panther Creek State Park, Morristown, Tennessee

Campground loses points for closeness of sites. But It was very quiet, even though it was spring break and Easter. Great trails, beautiful scenery, Great Lake. Lots for kids to do. We camped at Panther Creek State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hillman Ferry Campground, Land Between the Lakes NRA, Golden Pond, Kentucky

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in site A-71. No electric, no water, no sewer, no neighbors. It was perfect. We had a great winter view of the lake. Just don't eat the fish or drink the water. We camped at Hillman Ferry Campground, Land Between the Lakes NRA in a Fifth Wheel.

Cloudland Canyon State Park, Rising Fawn, Georgia

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful campground. Easy to get into spot with our 35' fifth wheel. Stayed here to visit Chickamauga and Lookout Mt. Gave it a nine instead of 10 because price was a little high for state campground. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Cloudland Canyon State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fish Creek Campground (NPS Campground), Glacier National Park, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Great campground. Trees everywhere. The west side of Glacier NP isn't nearly as scenic as the east side. But the campground was beautiful. We have a 35' fifth wheel and an F350 w/ 8' bed. It was a challenge getting out of our campsite but after moving a few site markers and scrubbing a tree or two, we were rolling. The sights on the inside of the loop have door and awning facing street. We camped at Fish Creek Campground (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

St. Mary Campground (NPS Campground), Glacier National Park, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We thought about staying in a full service park but decided not to. You get the full national park experience staying on sight. This is a fantastic campground. We were in sight C118 on the outside of the loop. The sites on the inside of the loop had their doors and awnings facing the street. Views were better on the other side of the loop but our sight was next to a creek. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at St. Mary Campground (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Great Falls KOA, Great Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Quiet campground. Lots of landscaping between sites makes for very private feel. Great nature trail any city would be proud of. Off the street a few hundred yards means no road noise. It was 3 miles off the interstate down a main street in Great Falls or we would have given them 10/10. Great pool area for the kids. Playscapes too. We camped at Great Falls KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Denver West / Central City KOA, Central City, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Fantastic views. Great location. This was the Colorado RV vacation we sought. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fast Internet. Close enough to Denver but up in the Rockies. All in all, a great campground. We'll stay here on our next Denver trip. We camped at Denver West / Central City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Cody KOA, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

Over priced. We stayed in a premium site because it was the only one available. The site was very narrow. It was no bigger than regular sites. This campground was adequate but nothing special. If traveling with kids, they have a nice pool and playground. We looked around Cody, and there isn't anything better. We camped at Cody KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Only gave them 1/10 because there is no 0/10. Keep driving. This park is located between train tracks and the interstate. It's also next to a refinery. We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Branson KOA, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We would have rated this park higher if not for the location. We prefer more remote parks. For a great Branson vacation, this is an excellent choice. It is on the edge of all the action but not in the congestion of town. Great hosts with concierge service for show tickets or golf tee times. Nice play area and pool for kids. A well stocked store. But it is urban camping without a doubt. We camped at Branson KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
