Quebec City KOA, Saint Nicolas, Quebec

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

There had been a lot of rain and the sites on the lower level at the back of the campground were in terrible condition. There was thick mud outside the door and it was impossible to get into the trailer without getting filthy. The Wi-Fi was intermittent and slow. A very expensive campground and certainly not up to KOA standards. We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Blue Fin Trailer and RV Park, Holyrood, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very good location for St John's and the Irish Loop. Despite proximity to Trans Canada Highway it is a very quiet and peaceful campground. Probably the cleanest facilities we've ever seen and all very modern and well kept. It's quite a new campground so a bit open but the sites are all very level and the hookups all in perfect condition. Can't recommend highly enough. We camped at Blue Fin Trailer and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cochrane Pond Family Campground, St John's, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

The filthiest campground we've ever seen. Arrived very late so little choice. We didn't have a hook-up hence the rate but it was a disgrace. Had we known we'd have stayed by the highway. Litter everywhere - bags of garbage just left around for the crows to tear open. And there was a terrible smell. We camped at Cochrane Pond Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean and extremely helpful. Plenty of space and very well kept and level sites. Not the cheapest but well worth every penny. Not all sites receive wi-fi, but it's not too bad. We camped at Gallagher Lake Resort (formerly Gallagher Lake KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Waterton Springs Campground (Private), Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

No-one around when we arrived and 3 days on we still hadn't seen anyone. Left the money in an envelope under the door and that hadn't been collected when we left! No hot water - showers unavailable because we couldn't get a token (no-one to be found!!) No wi-fi. Terrible service (or lack of) It was the end of the season but open is open and someone should be around. We camped at Waterton Springs Campground (Private) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tolsona Wilderness Campground , Glennallen, Alaska

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Very peaceful and unsplit. The river winds through the campsite and seems to pass most of the sites. Clean and friendly. No credit cards accepted and the WiFi only really works near the office or in the laundry but it is free. We camped at Tolsona Wilderness Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Yukon Motel & Lakeshore Resort, Teslin, Yukon

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Firstly I can't quite remember the rate so please don't quote me. We pulled in for one night and ended up staying for several. The site is immaculate and the owners and staff couldn't be more helpful. The facilities are spotless and the whole site is very neat and tidy. We'd recommend it to anyone. It is also very quiet considering its location. We camped at Yukon Motel & Lakeshore Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
