High Desert RV Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park on the west side of the city, and close to I-40. The park is well laid out and very clean. The staff is friendly. The rate shown is the daily portion of the weekly rate, excluding the metered electric which was cheap! Their propane prices were very reasonable as well, so we topped off our tank. All utilities worked well, and there was free WiFi that also worked well. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again. We camped at High Desert RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bottomless Lakes State Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This park is located 30 mins from Roswell. It is very quiet and remote (which we like for a change of pace). We reserved a full hookup site, and all utilities worked well. We had a clear shot of the sky for satellite, and the Verizon signal was pretty strong. There is free WiFi here, which was a pleasant surprise and it worked well. The biggest lake in the park is right by the campground, and you can swim in it. We took a hike along the Bluff Trail from the campground to the Visitor Center, and got to see all the lakes except for the lagoon, which is in a different area in the park. Very relaxing stay. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Bottomless Lakes State Park in a Motorhome.

Peacock Meadows Riverside RV Park, South Fork, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We found this to be a decent campground for the area. At this time of year all the campgrounds we saw were full, and looked very tight. We liked that there is more room between sites here. This is a relatively new park, and the owners are still getting things going. The utilities worked well, as did the free WiFi, but they cannot get grass to grow well, so there are weeds that can grow pretty tall between cuttings. The location is great for a trip to Ouray. We camped at Peacock Meadows Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sierra Hermosa RV Park, Questa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Questa is a good central location to see Taos and the Enchanted Circle. This is a no-frills campground, but suited our needs fine. The owner is very friendly and helpful and is a wealth of local information. All utilities worked well, and their free WiFi was lightning fast. We camped at Sierra Hermosa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This was a great park south of town, but still convenient to everything. We stayed in the lower, back-in sites, which seemed to have more space between them than the pull-thrus on the upper level. There are a lot of metal art pieces throughout the park which was cool to see, and was in keeping with the artsy feel of Santa Fe. All utilities worked well, and the free WiFi worked well, too. There is a nice 3/4 mile trail that follows the perimeter of the park; great for walking your dog, or taking an evening stroll to enjoy the beautiful sunsets there. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sky Ute Casino RV Park, Ignacio, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is such a nice rv park.....clean and well laid out. They allow you to use Passport America for up to 7 nights....what a deal! The sites are all concrete, with a nice parking spot for your tow vehicle, and a patio with table and grill. The camp hosts are super friendly and helpful, and get you into your spot in a jiffy. You pay for your stay inside the casino at the hotel registration desk. All utilities worked very well. This is a great location to stay in to see the sights in the area. We were told it fills up nightly, so reservations are a must. We will DEFINITELY stay here again when in the area. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 2 weeks, mainly to explore Mesa Verde NP, and the length of stay was just right, and the rate shown is for the daily portion of the weekly rate, with an additional 20% off for being retired law enforcement. (A first for us in 5 years of fulltiming, and a heartfelt "thank you" to Mesa Verde RV Resort. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Southern Hills RV Park and Campground, Hermosa, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed our stay here. The new owners are working hard to make the park great. The sites are long, level and gravel, which means no mud after it rains....yay! The owners are very friendly and helpful, and really made us feel welcome. The utilities worked perfectly, we had a clear shot of the sky for satellite and Verizon worked well. This is a great central location to see the sights that the area has to offer. We will DEFINITELY return when in the area.....highly recommend. We camped at Southern Hills RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Korte's Checkers Welcome Campground, Welcome, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay here. The camp hostess was very friendly and helpful....even guided us to our site. The sites are long and level, and the utilities worked very well. Depending on your site, you may or may not get satellite, due to the trees. Good Verizon signal. It is very convenient to I-90, but there is no road noise to speak of. Highly recommend. We camped at Korte's Checkers Welcome Campground in a Motorhome.

Bull Run Regional Park, Centreville, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very large, pretty park, but the campground seems "old". It is difficult to find a level site....just about every site necessitates using wood for leveling. If there is heavy electric use (everyone using their a/cs, for instance ), the voltage really drops. Several times, our surge protector shut power off to our coach due to low voltage. There are lots of trees, which makes satellite reception difficult. It is also expensive, due to its proximity to Washington DC. We camped at Bull Run Regional Park in a Motorhome.

Texarkana RV Park & Event Center, Texarkana, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here for one night using Passport America. We were greeted warmly, and check-in was quick and efficient. The park is laid out well and is very clean, and our site was long enough for a 40-foot motorhome and toad, without having to unhook. Utilities worked well, WiFi was fast, and we had a clear shot of the sky for satellite. We would definitely return if in the area...highly recommend. We camped at Texarkana RV Park & Event Center in a Motorhome.

WillowWind RV Park, Hurricane, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Note: the rate shown is the daily portion of the monthly rate of $455 (+metered electric) This is a beautiful, immaculate park in Hurricane, UT, which is convenient to both Zion NP and St. George. You can literally walk to the grocery store, pharmacy, post office, and nearby restaurants from here. Utilities work well, and satellite-friendly sites are available. WiFi is extremely good here. Highly recommend! We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful campground, with views of Lake Powell (the views get better the higher up you go!). The sites are very spacious and are not on top of one another. The utilities work well, and there is a nice clear shot for satellite. Shopping and restaurants are a short drive away, andand the natural beauty of this area is spectacular. Highly recommend! Travelers Woods, Bernardston, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 3 nights here and enjoyed our stay. The campground is very clean. Utilities worked well, and we had a clear shot of the sky for satellite. We enjoyed visiting Shelburne Falls (the Bridge of Flowers, and the Glacier Potholes), and also took a nice long hike at nearby High Ledges Wildlife Sanctuary. We also had an awesome pizza from Hillside Pizza, just up the road from the campground. My only complaint is that since the camgground is right near the interstate, there is some road noise. That being said, we would still return if in the area. We camped at Travelers Woods in a Motorhome.
