Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino), Verdi, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time to the Reno area, and we picked a great place to stay! The RV park has a very park-like setting with grass and trees, a great heated pool and hot tub, with long sites and ample space in between. The utilities worked well, and our Verizon service was smoking fast. The staff is nice, and the casino was very generous in their offers of 2 for 1 dinners, which were delicious. (We got coupons at check in, and also won a BOGO dinner!) We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed an additional week. Highly recommend. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

Lassen West Village, Westwood, California

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for a week as a base location to visit Lassen Volcanic NP. Being that this park was (and still partially is) a mobile home park, the sites are HUGE! There are a lot of trees here but were able to get satellite with our portable satellite. The utilities worked as they should. Trains do go by very close to the campground overnight, and are pretty loud, but we fall right back to sleep. The owner checked us in and is very friendly. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Lassen West Village in a Motorhome.

Bend-Sunriver RV Campground - Thousand Trails, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 5 years ago, and were disappointed to see how things have gone downhill here since then. The resort looks "tired".....things need repainting, and repair. We are pickleball players, and were sad to see that the courts here are in disrepair. Out of 8 courts, only 3 or 4 are usable. We were lucky to be able to snag a 50 amp site, and the utilities work well. The dump stations are a bit rough looking. Disappointing. We camped at Bend-Sunriver RV Campground - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Little Creek Casino and Resort, Shelton, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice RV Park by the casino. The sites are level and concrete.....we got one of the shorter pull thru at the end of a row, and our 40 footer and toad barely fit in. The sites are nicely spaced apart, but the turns are tight (but doable). The hookups worked well, and it is not far from shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend. We camped at Little Creek Casino and Resort in a Motorhome.

Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only), Chimacum, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at other SKP co-ops, but this was our first time at this one. The staff is very friendly, and the owned sites are very nicely landscaped, as is the entire park in general. We transients have a specific area in which to park.....the site was long, level and gravel, with no picnic table. Utilities worked as they should. It was a good base from which to visit many area attractions. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Evergreen Coho SKP Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Motorhome.

Rainier View RV Park - ( Adult ), Graham, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The is definitely not a destination park, but it served us well for the week we were here. The staff were very friendly. The sites are tight....our 40 footer took the entire length of the site. All utilities worked well, and satellite and Verizon signals were strong. Because of the smoke from the wildfires we hardly ever saw Mt Ranier, but we got a clear view one of the days we were bere. We camped at Rainier View RV Park - ( Adult ) in a Motorhome.

Swinomish Northern Lights Casino RV Park, Anacortes, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this park. Our pull thru site was long and fairly level, and faced the water, which provided nice views. It was refreshingly cooler here than the inland area we had just come from. We had a clear shot of the sky for satellite, great Verizon service, good cable TV selection, and all utilities worked well. The casino, restaurants within the casino, and the gas station on the property were all very convenient. We would definitely return here. We camped at Swinomish Northern Lights Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA, Concrete, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We have never stayed in a Thousand Trails/KOA combo campground, and liked the TT side better than the KOA side. We luckily scored a 50amp FHU site. We could not get TV of ANY kind here (satellite or over the air). The park is full on weekends, with lots of kids. The utilities worked fairly well (the water pressure was on the low side). We would return if in the area. We camped at Concrete / Grandy Creek KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Concrete is a pretty small town, but has a market, a decent pizza place and a bakery that was supposed to be really good (But we did not try it).

Riverbend RV Park, Twisp, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice quiet park on the Methow River, and we enjoyed our stay here. Twisp is a nice little town with an awesome bakery and a very nice Farmers Market on Saturdays. Utilities worked as they should and although we could not get satellite because of the trees, there are several over-the-air channels which worked fine. Nearby Winthrop was a fun Western-themed town to visit. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Riverbend RV Park in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails - Crescent Bar, Quincy, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay here. It seems that there have been recent efforts to spruce up the park. The location on the Columbia River is gorgeous. There are nice walking trails along the river outside the park. Utilities worked as they should. I advise that you don't park near a dumpster like we did, they are only emptied once a week, and begin to smell after 3 days or so. We would definitely return if in the area. We camped at Thousand Trails - Crescent Bar in a Motorhome.

Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely park. The staff is very friendly and helpful ( they were especially kind to is when we had to extend our stay due to a mechanical issue....they made it happen for us, and we were very grateful.) The sites are concrete, long and level. The utilities work well, and we had a clear shot for satellite. The staff works hard to keep this park working and looking great. Very quiet. Shopping and restaurants close by. Highly recommend. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wasatch View Estates and RV Park, Ogden, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We used this as an overnight stop, and used Passport America. It served our purposes well. As others have said, this park has seen better days. The sites are large and utilities worked well. We would never consider this park for more than a night or two, nor would we pay full price. We would use it again for an overnight. We camped at Wasatch View Estates and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Kodachrome Basin State Park, Cannonville, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We LOVED our 5-night stay here. We had a beautiful 50 amp FHU site with a huge picnic table and fire ring on our patio. The site was paved. The views are incredibly beautiful. We did not use the showers, but we looked at them and they are GORGEOUS....very different than what you normally get at a state park. We enjoyed the hiking trails in the park. Please be aware that you will not get ANY cell service or data on your cell phone here.....I mean ABSOLUTELY ZERO.....no matter what carrier you have. We enjoyed being offline for the 5 days, though. If you have satellite, it will work fine. Also, stock up on groceries before you come, as there is no shopping nearby. The afternoon winds will bring in fine gritty dust if your windows are open, but that is not a big deal to me. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and would definitely return. We camped at Kodachrome Basin State Park in a Motorhome.

High Desert RV Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park on the west side of the city, and close to I-40. The park is well laid out and very clean. The staff is friendly. The rate shown is the daily portion of the weekly rate, excluding the metered electric which was cheap! Their propane prices were very reasonable as well, so we topped off our tank. All utilities worked well, and there was free WiFi that also worked well. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again. We camped at High Desert RV Park in a Motorhome.
