Bay View Campground, Bourne, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

The park was very clean, even the seasonal sites, which at some parks start to collect junk and look run down. The staff was very helpful. They have a lot of amenities on site here, games, pools, playground, snacks and ice cream. The in park activities, rentals, etc. are not cheap. We were in the Oyster Cove section which I liked because the site are pretty private (no sewer hookups, 30 amp). That said, it is a very busy place. We tend to like quieter places. There was lots of traffic and people on the streets. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Motorhome.

Tidewater Campground, Hampton, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Very few transient sites. A few near the front are big rig accessible, the site in the wooded area of the park are hit or miss depending on the size of you rig. All sites are full hook-up (aside form the tent area). Pool and playground are nice. Difficult to get in to with three night minimum during summer months. The park is clean and quiet. Convenient to the beaches. We have family here with a seasonal site, we enjoyed our stay. We camped at Tidewater Campground in a Motorhome.

Glen Ellis Family Campground, Glen, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice, well kept, family park. Lots for kids to do on site and it is very close to area attractions. The staff was very accommodating when making a reservation, and also during our stay. There are nice laundry facility on site and some full hookup sites. It was quiet even with a lot of kids around. The river is great. The park just had a nice atmosphere. We camped at Glen Ellis Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Seaport RV Resort, Old Mystic, Connecticut

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

I was able to get a fairly last minute reservation which was nice. The person on the phone was pleasant. We had a pull through site that was very long with plenty of room. The hookups (water, electric and cable) were positioned well. This is a place that is well set up for larger rigs. I believe it is recently bought by Morgan Resorts. The campground was clean but some of the buildings are showing their age. The pool also was pretty nice but in need of some maintenance. We will definitely stay there again. We camped with two small kids. We camped at Seaport RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Prospect Lake Park, North Egremont, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was very close to our neighbors and it made for an awkward feeling. The owners were not friendly. The electrical service (on our site anyway) was not able to handle A/C. It stated no A/C use in the rules. We were not told this ahead of time. We had reserved two nights, but left after one because we just felt uncomfortable. The seasonal people seemed to watch our every move. It was somewhat awkward maneuvering our 35' MH through he park. We camped at Prospect Lake Park in a Motorhome.

Sweetwater Forest Family Camping Resort, Brewster, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The park was OK, and location was good. The staff is accommodating and friendly. The major drawback here is the site are not geared for larger rigs. The roads are very narrow and it is quite hilly. We camped at Sweetwater Forest Family Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

St Augustine Beach KOA, St Augustine Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was friendly. The location is convienient to St. Augustine attractions and beaches. The locaton of the park is in a congested business zone, not a relaxing location. Most sites are pull through with full hookups. The sites are small and this is more of a "parking lot" than a campground. Not a place for a long relaxing stay, but ok for a home base for night or two if you are there to see the sights or spend the day at the beach. We camped at St Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.
