Lincoln Road RV Park, Helena, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Spacious sites and convenient location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wi-fi now available throughout park, not just in lounge. Laundry a bit on the high side but not unreasonable, one dryer was out during our two week stay. Grassy area adjacent to gravel sites, benches at each site although they are tied down. No cable TV. Had a nice two weeks there and would certainly stay again if in area. Not much of supplies at park but a convenience store at gas station about 1/4 mile away. Overall a good place to stay. Weekly rate worked out to about $23/night. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Great park, good sites, helpful staff. It was raining when we arrived and two friendly staff helped me with backing in my 5th wheel. Location is great, close proximity to Yellowstone west gate. Village of West Yellowstone very nice but restaurants seemed pricey. Sites are gravel with adjacent grass area PVC type tables which look like new. Good store with good supply of items and RV needs. Only dislike was the WiFi. For charging the most daily site fees and then to only offer 15 minutes of one-time WiFi time seems almost insulting. Especially when WiFi is becoming so commonplace these days. That's why I gave it a 9. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Page Lake Powell Campground, Page, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here two different times, once outbound and once inbound. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Park is somewhat spartan but clean and has good sites and easily accessible. No grass and gravel sites. Roads are paved. Overall a good value in my opinion. Summer rates may be higher due to proximity to Lake Powell. Unless boating or sightseeing in the area, would not want to spend a lot of time there but it is a good stopping point. We camped at Page Lake Powell Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Salt Lake City KOA, Salt Lake City, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A large park, well maintained with several permanent residents. Caters to all types of camping from tents to motorhomes. Very mature with lots of grass, trees, paved sites, on-site RV wash station. Even has air compressor for your tires. Store has relatively good supply and has several RV items. Staff seemed friendly and helpful, especially the work campers. Park has arrangement with Temple Square for free tours and vans run back and forth fairly frequently. If you're staying on a Sunday morning, you can take a shuttle to the Square and sit in on a live broadcast of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. All in all a good place to stay even though it's such a large park. And oh yes, you will hear train whistles all through the night. We camped at Salt Lake City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
