Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping, Mackinaw City, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a huge campground and the sites vary widely in different parts. We stayed in an extra large site in the 900 section. Our site was adjacent to a wifi tower and the wifi there was well worth the extra cost. We also were able to get satellite from our site. The views of the bridge from the park are a nice feature. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.

River Park Campground, Menominee, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a pretty park that can be hard to find as it is over the railroad track behind the Kmart. The turns were a little tight for our 40' motorhome but manageable. The riverfront is very nice with a view of a shipyard across the river in Wisconsin. Very few sites will allow for satellite TV. Sites vary in length so some will only accommodate smaller units. We camped at River Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Hy-Land Court RV Park, Ellison Bay, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very well run campground. The open sites for big rigs provides 50-amp full hookups with open sky and excellent wifi. For those who prefer the wooded sites, they appeared to be very roomy. The bathroom area is old but well-maintained. The location is convenient to Sister Bay and Washington Island. We camped at Hy-Land Court RV Park in a Motorhome.

It's Door County! There is lots to do. Make a visit to Washington Island. Attend one of the two live theaters in Fish Creek. We also caught some free live music at a park in Egg Harbor.

Scheffel's Hideaway Campground, Two Rivers, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We spent a week at Scheffel's Hideaway in a 40-foot motorhome. The site was wide and reasonably level with 50-amp full hookup. The two negatives were weak wifi and hard water. The park is adjacent to a state park and there is a terrific hiking/biking trail called the Rawley Point Trail immediately accessible from the campground. The showers and restrooms were immaculate. There is a restaurant (closed on Monday and Tuesday) immediately adjacent to the campground. We camped at Scheffel's Hideaway Campground in a Motorhome.

Quileute Oceanside Resort, La Push, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is actually combined with the adjoining Lonesome Creek Park. We made a reservation here based on previous reviews but ended up being placed in Lonesome Creek.

No Wifi at sites. AT&T not available. Trees may interfere with satellite tv. Porta potties for washrooms. Good hookups. We camped at Quileute Oceanside Resort in a Motorhome.

Seabreeze B&B and RV Park, Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

The community of Cow Head is an area worth at least a week-long stay. We spent two weeks here and enjoyed the Gros Morne Theatre Festival a couple of times, the local restaurants, the beautiful trails on the adjacent peninsula, as well as the attractions of Gros Morne National Park. The B&B/RV Park is very well managed and features eight large level gravel sites with full hookups (30-amp). The Wi-Fi was excellent. On reasonably clear days we were even able to access DirecTV with our rooftop dish. The view from the campground is an added bonus. The rate we paid was a weekly rate in Canadian dollars. We camped at Seabreeze B&B and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Valleyview Farm & Campground, Waymart, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great getaway for smaller rigs and park models. It rates lower as a big rig stopping spot. There are only a couple of sites that are level, big enough for a 40-foot RV, and have full hookups. The campground is situated on a lovely spot in the Poconos off the beaten path. Grocery stores and other amenities are about 10 miles away. There is no WiFi.

On the plus side the sky is wide open for satellite reception and there is good cell phone access. The owners are very friendly and the permanent campers seem like a pleasant group of people. We had a nice quiet few days with the campground to ourselves. The Memorial Day weekend brought the regulars out and it was different but still a nice place with a nice view. We camped at Valleyview Farm & Campground in a Motorhome.

Columbia Falls RV Park, Columbia Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is an exceptionally well managed RV park. It is meticulously groomed, with level gravel sites separated by grass. The sites were not huge but adequate for large rigs. There is a bike path next door that goes to Rivers Edge Park and the Flathead River. Utilities are good, including Wi-Fi. Satellite access is easy and cell signal is adequate. We camped at Columbia Falls RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wild Rose RV Park, Colbert, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is located on a busy highway but there was not a noise issue. As mentioned in other reviews, the management is very friendly and access to the community garden was encouraged. The sites are spacious and easily accommodated our 42-foot MH. Their Wi-Fi was the best we have experienced in ten years of fulltime RVing. It was close enough to Spokane for easy access. We camped at Wild Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Steamboat Rock State Park, Electric City, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park has new facilities and is in a beautiful setting. Sitting on the shore of Banks Lake there is a bike path connecting the different sections of the campground. The sites are large with good utilities but no Wi-Fi or cable. We had AT&T cell access. We camped at Steamboat Rock State Park in a Motorhome.

Pine Near RV Park, Winthrop, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is only a block off the main street but considerably uphill from it. It is still walkable to the western-style downtown area. The owner of the campground is friendly and helpful. The grass sites are neatly kept with good utilities. It is a small, comfortable campground. We camped at Pine Near RV Park in a Motorhome.

Port of Newport RV Park, Newport, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Yes, this park is all asphalt and concrete but it makes for a comfortable stay in a great location. The utilities are great and the view of the bridge and harbor are super. The adjoining bike path and south jetty park provide biking and hiking opportunities and the aquarium and marine science center are within easy walking distance. We had a fun week here. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Andersen's RV Park, Long Beach, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We liked the location of this park with it's short hike to the beach. There is plenty of room to maneuver although the sites are only of modest size. The utilities are good. It has an antiseptic environment mostly on gravel so would not be good for those seeking a "camping" experience. But it is a good location for the Long Beach experience. We camped at Andersen's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gig Harbor RV Resort, Gig Harbor, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We had a very nice experience at this park. We have a 42' and had no issues with maneuvering. Our site was spacious and level with excellent utilities. The WiFi was descent. Very close to the harbor at Gig Harbor and not far from Tacoma (toll bridge though). Several good restaurants within walking distance. Definitely hope to return here again. We camped at Gig Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.
