Megunticook Campground, Rockport, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Park is back under private ownership finally! New owners very helpful and very ambitious in plans for improvements. We saw lots of tree work being done and revival of the ocean overlook where lobster bakes were held in the past. Look forward to going back next year. We camped at Megunticook Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Bar Harbor Campground, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Well established large CG with easy access. Sites tend to the small side. Staff is exceptionally friendly. Restrooms and showers are extremely small, they seem to date from the 60's. A good value for the area. We camped at Bar Harbor Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Birchwood Campground & Cabins, Pictou, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The front section of this CG seems to be mostly seasonal sites. Very tight roads leading to newer back section where the pass through campers seem to end up. Sites were adequate but the layout is tight. Need to back down the road to back into your site. OK for an overnight or two. Gave us a chance to explore Picteu. We camped at Birchwood Campground & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Loch Lomond RV Park, Amherst, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Older campground with narrow roads and narrow sites. We had a backin site and had difficulty getting in because the crushed stone pad is so narrow. Once set up there's a 10 inch drop off from the crushed stone to the grass area surrounding it. Staff is excellent and well informed about local activities. We camped at Loch Lomond RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Century Farm Family Campground, St. Martins, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Back again after 5 years. Still an excellent park to visit. Quiet, easy to access sites. Small office with virtually no RV supplies to speak of. Excellent staff. Weak wifi, works only in bathhouse area. Go there for the rest and relaxation and the scenery. We camped at Century Farm Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

About 1/2 mile down the road towards the Fundy park entrance is a building shared by 2 seafood restaurants. Both are just fabulous. The chowder is to die for!

Black Bear Campground, Florida, New York

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Upper sites are quite narrow and close together. Roads are steep and narrow. Wifi reception and speed was excellent. Quite pricey for a one night stop. Site was level. Probably just keep driving next time thru. We camped at Black Bear Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Delaware Beaches Jellystone, Lincoln, Delaware

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Spent 3 nights here. Basically an open field with hookups (as others mentioned trees are about 6 feet tall!). Electricity stable, water pressure good. Wi-Fi is advertised but it never worked in our 3 day stay. Office help unable to locate any tech support to diagnose problem. All staff seemed to be teenagers, helpful but not very knowledgeable. Campsite maintenance not being tended to. Easy access and centrally located for our needs. Would probably return if in the area again. We camped at Delaware Beaches Jellystone in a Fifth Wheel.

Adventure Bound Camping Resorts (formerly Duncan's), Lothian, Maryland

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

October trip, so park was almost empty. Some seasonals. Nicely wooded. Some road noise which probably would not be noticeable if normal park noises were happening. Interior roads need grading, but it is the end of a long rainy season. Site was roomy and easy to back into. Wi-Fi weak and intermittent. Water pressure very high. Would definitely return if in the area. We camped at Adventure Bound Camping Resorts (formerly Duncan's) in a Fifth Wheel.

Megunticook Campground, Rockport, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Been here several times over a 10 year span. Park could be a gem but it's not. No maintenance being done, front desk staffed by poor quality help, only Wi-Fi hotspot is the office, no hose available at dump station, no guide to site, etc. RV'ers seem to be seen as an inconvenience to deal with. Morgan Resorts runs the place and it speaks very poorly for them as a company. Quite sure this is our last visit here. We camped at Megunticook Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean CG convenient to the highway. Friendly staff leads you direct to site. Very cold night so the well heated showers and restroom were appreciated. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Louisville North Campground (formerly Louisville Metro KOA), Clarksville, Indiana

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very tight, very cramped and very noisy. Would not return. CG is only one block away from the I-65 bridge which is now carrying all of its traffic PLUS the traffic that would normally have gone over the I-64 bridge which is closed. Staff was polite and helpful. We camped at Louisville North Campground (formerly Louisville Metro KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Lazy Day Campground, Danville, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

CG is nice and quiet - no highway noise. Has a fenced in area for dogs to stretch their legs. If it wasn't for the overpopulation of small yappy dogs, I'd rate this a 9. Good for an overnight, I'd stay again. And close my windows. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nicely maintained older CG. Not that easy to find, but close to main highway. Sites v-e-r-y tight. Cautious maneuvering is essential to avoid bumps and scrapes. Very clean and well kept, good Wi-Fi connection. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fillmore KOA, Fillmore, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

After long road trip from Yellowstone, this CG is a welcome break. Immaculate, off the highway far enough so noise is not an issue. Many trees. Kind of an oasis in the desert. Not a destination CG but a very welcome stopping place for the weary traveler. If you pass this way, we highly recommend it. We camped at Fillmore KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
