Moosemeadow Camping Resort, Willington, Connecticut

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Like the 1st review on this CG, we also stayed over for the night after returning from Maine to NJ. I wasn't looking for anything great & I found it. Paid $45 e/w site. The pool was nasty, so no swimming. The grounds were dirty with bottles & dog treats. The turn into the dump stations was a tight & steep rocky turn. They did have a DJ on Saturday eve & it was a busy hot weekend for them. I didn't like being charged $1.00 per minute for internet, since I only logged on for 2 minutes for some banking. Good overnight stop only 5 miles west of 84. Next time I'll dump for free at the Rte-84 info station by exit 70 & crashed there for a few hours. We camped at Moosemeadow Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Skowhegan / Canaan KOA, Canaan, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We passed through here mid week 2 years ago, Loved it so much we wanted to stay for a "Theme" weekend. We picked the Dino weekend for our 7 & 8 year olds, my 16 year old was just happy with the free WiiFi! Has two of the hardest working KOA owners I've met. Always keeping the kids busy and the grounds clean. Well stocked store that doesn't rob you, and they bring the wood to your site. Not far off of route 95 and just a positive feel to the whole place. Want to go back in the Fall! We camped at Skowhegan / Canaan KOA in a Motorhome.

Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails, Trenton, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week for the same reason as almost every camper I met, It's new. Paying $75 per night E/W/S & cable for a family of 5 on a site with a perfect view of the bay 25 yards away. If you ever lived in a new development that's what this is like. In a few years grass & trees will grow in. Arrived on a Monday & didn't like our site, the office gave me a list of open sites to choose. They have community fire pits due to the erosion pads put down to grow grass, It was nice sitting with people each night. They do need a park & activities for the kids & update the pool with a new liner, all to come I'm told. Trolley stops there, Lobster pounds next door. Bathrooms/shower, laundry & store rooms all bright & clean. In my 4 year with a motorhome I've never used showers ANYWHERE except for here! I've stayed at the KOA & passed through all other campgrounds on the Island, they pack'em in! This place has some elbow room. They're new & have more work to go. One last item, AVOID the Lobsterman & ask for the Pie Couples phone #!! We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Wells Beach Resort Campground, Wells Beach, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

The only two things I can say bad about this park are:, the very small pool & lack of activities for the kids. So get them tired at the Ocean. A very friendly staff & perfect location. Our site had the astro turf & a lawn light with free WiFi. The trolley system is $3 a day for adults, kids under 18 are free. The beach is 5 minutes away, make sure you use the trolley! We camped at Wells Beach Resort Campground in a Motorhome.
