Jonestown AOK Campground, Jonestown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

I stayed at this campground for 3 weeks. The rate was $150 a week for 50 amps. Very nice campground, run by a very pleasant lady that worked hard to accomadate our needs. This is a new owner/management campground as it was a KOA before and now is a AOK campground. I also stay at the campground when it was a KOA and the new management under AOK is much better than the previous management. Every thing you need is here, pool, mini-golf, pet walks, stores within 3/4 miles, yet is in the woods and very clean and quite. I enjoyed my three weeks at this site. Kudos to the new management. We camped at Jonestown AOK Campground in a Motorhome.

Dallas Pike Campground, Triadelphia, West Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is by far the worst campground there is. I have been camping many years and have never seen anything like this. The roads (ditches) to get to the sites are potholed, rutted and no RV should ever go on them. I was taken to two sites that it was totally impossible to get my 35ft Winney into, then taken to a third site that was flooded because of a water leak some where. I parked on the wrong side of the patio, as I sure could not have gotten into the other side. Then when I tried to hook into water and sewer, there was none. Was asked if I could not go one night without water and sewer. I said no and demanded a refund of my $32. Was told no refunds. I talked to the owner and she told me they would put the money back on my card. Which as of 3 1/2 weeks later they still have not. Please if you are traveling this way, STAY AWAY from this "campground".

By far one if not the worst campground in the USA. We camped at Dallas Pike Campground in a Motorhome.

Swan Creek, Tanner, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed at this park in Octobor 2012, and it sure has changed. In October, TV cable was there, and WiFi was available. This time, no Cable TV and WiFi did not work. I was told it was because I had "Vista, Windows 7 or 8", and it only works on older systems. Staff was friendly and the park is clean and the club house is nice and clean. I would/will probably return, but hope they fix the Cable TV and WiFi. We camped at Swan Creek in a Motorhome.

Waters Edge RV Resort, Zephyrhills, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2012 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great little park. Extremely clean and well kept. Staff is great and friendly and very helpful, even to the extent of helping with the set up if needed, just completely different than most parks. The rate of $10 is on a monthly rate, and then add electric to that. We had the local cable company hook up cable TV and that is great. Wi-fi is available, but I had my own with the calbe TV. Will be here for 2 or 3 months, and may come back next year. Great Carefree park. We have stayed at 4 different Carefree resorts and this is by far the best one of the 4.. We camped at Waters Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Eagle's Roost RV Resort, Lake Park, Georgia

Date of Stay: December, 2011 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

IMHO this is a good place to just spend a night while traveling. I paid $2.50 extra for cable and could only get 12 channels, 4 of which were Spanish and 2 were educational channels. Rip Off. Of course, it was my fault for not asking first what was avalable. I asked about WI-FI and was told they had it and no password was needed. However, after setting up, we had very little signal and could not even check email or get onto Google. Unhappy camper. But it was a good spot to spend the night. I was tired and needed to rest, so in that respect the park was fine. We camped at Eagle's Roost RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Rocky Top Campground, Blountville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night this time, had stayed once before about 4 years ago. Under new managment and the people were great. As stated by others, the owner helps you to your site and either guides you in or backs you into you site. Very friendly. Adequate store and just a really well run campground. Cable was great, WiFi was fast and alway on. I will stay here again when passing thru. Real nice campground. We camped at Rocky Top Campground in a Motorhome.

Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages, Pine Grove, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is by far the best KOA I have ever stayed in. My wife and I were there for 32 days and paid the extended stay rate. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the food at the restaurant (except the Taco bar on Wednesday). Seems the Pennsylvania Dutch don't really know what a Taco bar should be like. The toilets, showers and Laundry rooms were the cleanest I have ever come across in a Campground. I highly recommend this park for any one to visit. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Interstate Overnight Park, Christiansburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Never again, except to just stop for the night when nothing else is available. There was a 50 amp receptical, but did not work. Had to settle for 30. No pull thru sites that I saw, had to disconnect the car and back into a site. No one around to talk to, just left the money in an envelope and went on my way. I will drive a few extra miles before staying here again. We camped at Interstate Overnight Park in a Motorhome.

Excellent quite park. This is our second year we spent here. Nice park, activities for the adults. Park is next to a river, (Little Manatee River) also has a pond in the center of the park. Park attendant is extremely helpful, and a really nice person to deal with. I will be back here for sure... We camped at River Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stopped here before, and it has changed. New managment. Now they do not accept Passport America. Too bad, will probably not stay here again, it isn't worth it at this price. Sites are too small and not level mostly. We camped at Country View RV Park in a Motorhome.
