Fairly level gravel sites. Wi-fi worked well. Most campers were here to fish as the campground is on the river. Host is very friendly and readily available. My only complaint, if you want to call it that, is that fire rings are not at each site. We would have had campfires evenings, but our site did not have a ring. There is a community ring available, but it's not the same. We would definitely come here again, but reserve sooner to get a site with a fire ring.

I reviewed this park last Labor Day, and hit it pretty hard for not enforcing their posted rules. I even said we wouldn't be back. Well, due to this being so convenient to family we wanted to visit, we did come again, and I'm glad we did. We had a totally different stay this year. Security was very visible all weekend, and we had no problems with loud campers after quiet hours. Same good items from last year's review with an addition- they put a slide in the pool which the grandkids really enjoyed. All employees we had contact with were friendly and helpful. The packed gravel sites are still not level, but certainly workable- it's worth the effort for the size of the sites. The only real "complaint" was the wifi, which experienced campers know not to count on especially on a holiday weekend. We would certainly come again, and are already talking about meeting our relatives here next year. River Ridge, thanks for changing my opinion.

The good: nice picnic table and fire ring. Average width site, but very deep- probably 50' of grass to site behind. Campground well stocked for food, camping and marine. Kids enjoyed pool. The bad: Site was packed gravel, but not level. Back corner of site fell off to the point we needed an extra step which we didn't have. OK, it was a holiday weekend, but I have never camped in such a loud campground. We were in the grass site section. Many of the campers were seasonal. Friday night had music blaring and people trying to shout over the music. We turned the AC fan on, and still couldn't sleep with all of the noise. Someone must have complained, because Sat and Sun nights were quieter, but still needed the fan's white noise to sleep. Almost every site had a dog and they all barked every time someone walked by their site. Golf carts everywhere, some driven by kids pulling other kids on skateboards. Boats parked along the road in front of sites made it difficult to drive down some of the roads. We like a more laid back camping experience. We thought the resort would be more to our liking. We read the rules before reserving, and thought this would be a good place for us. I think every rule in their list was ignored for this weekend. Maybe a non-holiday weekend would have been better. This would be a good campground for those who like the party camping scene, but we won't be back.

I won't repeat all of the information in previous posts as to location, etc. We camped here with 2 of our children and their families. We found the campsites to be spacious, nice fire rings and fairly level. I did not have to level side to side. The campground does have a lot of seasonal campers, but we found them to be quiet and friendly. The campground management was friendly and helpful. We experienced a lot of children in the campground, but they were not a problem. The campground was quiet before quiet hours started. We used the laundry room a number of times and it was clean and machines worked as they should. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely camp here again.

We were here with 2 other families for Memorial Day weekend. I was a little concerned about camping on the holiday weekend as we have had bad experiences other places. The owners have their home in the campground and must have kept a watch over things. Quiet hours were observed in the loop we were in, and we observed no problem campers the whole weekend. There were many activities for the children, which they greatly enjoyed. The sites we were in were large enough for us to congregate in and the children to play. The owners were very accommodating for the few special requests we had. The upper loops have a rest room facility with 2 family rooms- toilet, sink and shower. They were clean when we used them. Everyone liked it so well that we plan to make this an annual event. The were only a few negatives. The road to the campground is a little narrow and there is an intersection just north of the campground where visibility both direction is a problem. They are far enough out in the country that the internet is slow. Not their fault, but it just is. We have no problem recommending this campground and plan to camp here again.

I won't repeat what other recent reviews have said. We found the campground to be nice enough except for one thing. Quiet hours are not observed. This is a large campground that attracts large groups that camp together. In the 4 days we've been here, there have been 2 large groups. One was fairly quiet, but this last group was very loud with shouting, music, whistling at one another, etc. We finally had to shut up the camper and turn on the air conditioning fan just to be able to sleep long after the 10:00 pm quiet hour. In spite of that, I still give it an 8 for all other aspects. I just wanted to warn you if you're sensitive to loud noises at night.

The park location is nice, but I was a little surprised at how much road noise there was. There are a lot of nice shade trees, which made it difficult for some of the bigger 5th wheel campers I saw come in. It is definitely a family oriented campground. There were a lot of children throughout the park. There are a lot of activities for the kids, including the pool, put-put golf, shuffleboard, and a "train" pulled by a garden tractor for the little ones to ride in. There is a lake in the field below for fishing. Washrooms were clean, but there are not nearly enough showers for the number of camp sites available. Wi-Fi was available at the office, but did not reach to our site. A large number of the sites are close to each other, but a few along the woods are very roomy. Quiet time is supposed to be 10:00 and children are supposed to be at their campsite by then, but no one seemed to enforce that. Several nights there were groups of kids walking the campground after 11:00. They weren't overly noisy, but they did wake us up as they walked by talking. We would stay here again if we could get one of the roomier sites. Otherwise, we would look elsewhere.

This is probably the nicest campground we've stayed at. It is run the the Church of God, and as such has some strict rules of conduct, but this added to our experience. There were no concerns about loudness or drunken parties. The campground is very well maintained. The bath houses were nicely appointed and very clean. We arrived after the office was closed and left before it opened. There were registration envelopes provided, and a receipt was mailed to us a few days later. An earlier review mentioned the bridge on Rt. 21 being out, but that is done and open for travel now. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice campground. Owner/hosts are friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi has 2 antennas, reception was very strong at our site. Concrete pads are level. The area outside the door is gravelled. All sites have full hookups. The campground is centrally situated to many North Georgia attractions. While the campground is family friendly, there really isn't anything there for children to do. There is no campground store. Ice can be purchased at a cafe across the road. There are laundry facilities. The site we had was nicely shaded on both sides. The overall site was very wide with a wide green buffer, but the actual cleared area was kind of narrow. For those in Class A or large campers who basically live in the camper, these are ideal sites. For those who live outside the camper, it was a little cramped. If we lived in the camper, this would get a 10/10 rating.

We camped here for 4 nights with family in 2 adjoining sites. The campsites were shallow but wide and ours were shady. There were only a few other campers in the park this early in the year. The dunes are great for hiking and for children playing on. The beach must be hiked to as the road is closed due to a bridge being washed out last fall. The restrooms were not as clean as I would have expected for as few campers as there were, and did not seem to be maintained well. One toilet would not flush as was that way for several days. The showers looked nice, but all except one had cold water. If you knew which one to get you could get a hot shower, but the others were cold. The shower floor drains did not drain well, and water ran out into the dressing area. The one night, there was a half an inch of water in the area I was standing in to dress. Also, with all of the sand, they needed to be cleaned more than just in the morning. Maybe they were not geared up yet with staff, but if the park has these kinds of troubles with a handful of campers, what will it be like in the summer? I would only come again if the family really wanted to spend time at the dunes.

We camped here over the Labor Day weekend. We had a full hookup site with 30A service, fairly large and nicely shaded. Our son and daughter-in-law joined us with their 2 daughters. There were plenty of activities for the children, including a fire truck ride and wet hay ride (a tractor pulled a wagon loaded with children through the campsite while campers sprayed water or threw water balloons at them) which were greatly enjoyed. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The restrooms and showers were very clean the first 2 days, but could have used additional cleaning over the weekend when the camp ground was completely full. My son caught several fish at the catch and release pond. I was very impressed with the quietness of the campground especially considering that it was full. Will camp here again.

My wife and I stopped here for an overnight on the way home from a longer trip. We had some concerns about KOA and crowded sites, but thought we would be OK on a Thursday in October. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We asked for a nice site away from other campers and got one. We were close to the restrooms near the small lake and could get WiFi reception on my laptop from inside the camper. The sites seemed a little small but not overly cramped. There are plenty of activities for kids. Well stocked store. Clean restrooms and showers. We would stop here again.

We stayed here for 3 nights. There were a few other campers here, but we pretty well had the place to ourselves. I listed our rate as $35 which is what it would have been if we had stayed in a water and electric hookup site, but we chose to stay in a lakefront site which was full service, so we actually paid $45 per night. Restrooms were very clean and nice as were the showers. The store was well stocked, but is only open until 5:00pm this time of year. Several times we had to drive into town in the evening for something we forgot. Also, their rule against electric heaters for a cg that's open year around isn't realistic. We would have no reservations about staying here again.

We made reservations over the web after calling them to see if we could stay one night instead of the required two on weekends. They allowed us to do so. The site we reserved had water and 30A electric. Our son and granddaughter went with us, so we ended up paying extra for each of them. The sites were small. We ended toward one end of a loop next to the seasonal campers. They were friendly enough, but there were numerous sites available - why crowd us up against the clique? The camp store was small with only a few items. The restrooms were quite bad. We chose not to take a shower. The pool was closed for the season, so I cannot speak to that. Our granddaughter is too young to use play facilities, so we didn't get too close of a look, but what we saw was not at all impressive. I would not recommend this unless it gets cleaned up or nothing else is available. Too bad, there is so much to do in this area.
