Nice campground with nice beaches and close to everything. They have nice trails along with bike trails if you are into biking. Friendly staff and plenty of room. We camped at Holland State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wilderness State Park, Carp Lake, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best campgrounds we have been to. This campground is very close to the beach and the beach is great. They have many trails and the park is very close to Mackinaw city where you adults and children can do just about anything. We will be back next year. We camped at Wilderness State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ludington State Park, Ludington, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $27.00

Great park for camping. Nice sites with mature trees and friendly staff. Nice trails and waterfront sites. Only advice would be to keep food away at night from the racoons. We camped at Ludington State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Silver Lake Resort and Campground, Mears, Michigan

Date of Stay: April, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very poor campground unless you like camping in a parking lot. The staff was rude and if you are trying to have a good time after 7pm good luck. Your small hand held radio must be at level one or two or you will be yelled at by a rude staff member (much rather deal with polite DNR). The staff is much too anal about the rules would never camp here again. The absolute only plus is full hook-ups and price... We camped at Silver Lake Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.
