LaSalle / Peru KOA, Utica, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The site we went to was nice. Ultimately customer service can go a long way. Let me say that everyone in the site was nice and professional. The park was a pleasant one and it was well maintained. I definitely recommend it to families and any one considering this site. We camped at LaSalle / Peru KOA in a Tent.

Hickory Hollow Campground, Utica, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

On October 12 & 13th, 2007 we set up our tents on their campsite. I was very disappointed with the management staff/ownership. They were very rude and we felt as if we were being babysitted. On the 13th we set a campfire soon after the man with glasses patrolling the site came up and kicked us out at 11:30 p.m. because he was accusing us of chopping down a tree. In fact he was very rude, telling us to get our s**t and get the F*** out. They denied our refund for not staying the night, even though it was not stated anywhere. This is the last time I will step foot in that area and the ownership must learn better customer service and watch their langauge. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Tent.

The site was a good location for us as the beach is really close. The staff were very friendly. The beach along with the sites were very clean. I was really impressed with the state beach. I will definitely go back We camped at Illinois Beach State Park in a Tent.
