Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Very, very nice! A little pricey, but like anything: you get what you pay for. Wonderful swimming pool, tennis courts, rec building. They have a breakfast every Saturday morning. All sites are either cement or brick pavers. Nice landscaping, paved roads. Very secure and secluded. We rode our bikes all around the island. Hilton Head is VERY bike friendly. Wonderful for riding your bike on the beach, too. This CG is about a mile from the beach. We are already planning our return visit here. Friendly people! We camped at Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This place is HUGE! There are other choices in the area (we checked them out on our bikes), but we thought this was the nicest. Paved roads throughout, easy in and out. We had a cement pad which was very nice. Daily garbage pick-up at your site. We were about 100' from the beach. Very nice pool. We would definitely go back here again. We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Meadows of Dan Campground, Meadows Of Dan, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Very quiet and rather secluded. Grounds are kept up nice and very scenic. Gravel roads are easy to negotiate and we had no problem pulling in and out of our pull through site. We would plan to stay here again. Friendly people. We camped at Meadows of Dan Campground in a Motorhome.

Sundermeier RV Park, Saint Charles, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Not really a destination site, but OK for our purposes of visiting the area. All sites are large concrete pads with paved roads. Very easy in and out. Modern, convenient hook ups including cable TV and WiFi. Train runs on elevated track near the north end of the campground and depending on wind direction, airplanes might be flying overhead on approach (or departure) to St. Louis Airport. This might bother some people; some might like it. Katy Trail Path runs along the back side: very convenient access if you want a nice bike ride. Historic St. Charles is nearby. We would stay here again. Oh, also nice restaurant (Beefeaters) is right on the premises. We had a nice meal here. We camped at Sundermeier RV Park in a Motorhome.

St. Louis RV Park, St. Louis, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

More like a parking lot in downtown St. Louis. We've driven by before, so we knew what it was like. Served our purpose well for visiting downtown St. Louis. Not the best neighborhood, but CG is fenced and secure. Police Station across the street and Fire Dept. Headquarters are up the street a couple of blocks. Sites are tight, but they try to keep open spaces between rigs (when possible). Entire CG is paved! Nice pool, small store with basic supplies. We will go back here again. Friendly people running this place! We camped at St. Louis RV Park in a Motorhome.

Philadelphia / West Chester KOA, Coatesville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice place. Well maintained, beautiful pool. Hilly, countryside setting but level sites. Narrow, winding road to get to this place, but we had no trouble in our 37'MH with toad. Liked this place so much we extended our stay a couple of days. We camped at Philadelphia / West Chester KOA in a Motorhome.
