LeFleurs Bluff State Park, Jackson, Mississippi

Overall Rating:

Great park, site right on lake. Just a little confusing entering, no one at the gate, we had our reservations so went ahead and set up. Very nice ranger came later to check on us. Nice museums and attractions very close. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

Louisville State Recrection Area, Louisville, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

LOUD trains-- constant-- so loud the ground shakes and during the day the boats on the Platte give competition so you have noise on both sides. No directions from the check in, we finally stopped at a camp host to find our where our site was. Check in person was more interested in making sure I paid the additional $5 per day for my vehicle pass. "Sure you don't want the annual pass for $25?" No, I'm staying 3 days. Oh by the way checkout is 2:00 but your vehicle pass is only good until noon. $20 + tax +$5 + noise - water = not coming again! We camped at Louisville State Recrection Area in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails / Carolina Landing, Fair Play, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

I can only echo the previous comments. Landscaping is nice but paving sites without leveling them is just ridiculous. TT member for almost six years, will try to avoid this park from now on. We camped at Thousand Trails / Carolina Landing in a Motorhome.

Pipestone RV Campground, Pipestone, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly folks, nice park. Went just for the Pipestone National Monument but could have stayed a few more days to tour the wind farm and the bison ranch. Rate reflects Passport America--full 50 amps and cable. We camped at Pipestone RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Miller Riverview Park, Dubuque, Iowa

Our 50 amp had an open ground but the 30 amp side was fine. The view can't be beat and the walking/bike trail was great. We camped at Miller Riverview Park in a Motorhome.

I completely agree with the last few posters, this is a fine spot and a Passport America campground that actually charges the rate listed online! We camped at Singing Hills RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails / Indian Lakes (now both TT and KOA), Batesville, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We were fortunate to get a full hookup site but it was very early in the season. The roads need work, many potholes. As you drive by the impressive view of the golf course is quickly negated by the tacky cluttered trailer park look of the long term on-site storage campers. The best thing about Indian Lakes is the town of Batesville, from the RV parts store right across the road to the terrific new and used book store in town, everyone we met was delightful. We camped at Thousand Trails / Indian Lakes (now both TT and KOA) in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails Preserve / Wilmington, Wilmington, Ohio

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice Thousand Trails park. Our phone worked but not our computer EDVO card however we managed to get a site close enough to the Welcome Center (where the wireless is located) to pick up the signal in our rig. Good activity schedule in the park and quite a bit nearby--flea market, pioneer park less than ten miles. We camped at Thousand Trails Preserve / Wilmington in a Motorhome.

Erie Islands Resort & Marina, Port Clinton, Ohio

Nice ROD park. Came closer to deserving the "Resort" designation than many we've seen. The staff was friendly and helpful. Amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, tanning bed, golf course and marina. We camped at Erie Islands Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.
