Diamond Lake Resort, Owensboro, Kentucky

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This once grand camping resort is coming back to life under new ownership. Lots to do - paddle boats, fish, go karts, 2 restaurants. Great customer service. The owner even parked our trailer for us. We stayed away from this campground because of a review on this site -- a big mistake. There are some rough corners at the campground, but it is quickly being upgraded and fixed up. We will definitely be back! We camped at Diamond Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Small sites and traffic noise make this only a marginal campground. We camped at John James Audubon State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Coles Creek Campground, Carlyle, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $17.00

Great campground on Carlyle Lake. We had a wonderful lakefront spot with great fishing. Not much around the lake to do, but if you are a water lover or fisherman, this is a great campground. We camped at Coles Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Harmonie State Park, New Harmony, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $25.00

This is a nice campground with large spaces. It is very clean, with a nice staff and lots of great events. No water connections at campsites makes long-term camping a challenge. We camped at Harmonie State Park in a Travel Trailer.
