Oak Plantation Campground, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is clean, well maintained and patrolled. I was stopped by the park speed monitor, she came running after me while I was speeding at 15 mph. We stayed here two nights while visiting Charleston. Many paved pull through sites available but, I had to back in for satellite coverage. We camped at Oak Plantation Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here 3 nights while visiting Savannah. You can catch a trolley tour bus at the camp store that will take you on a one hour tour of Savannah then return you to the camp store. We enjoyed sitting on the park benches watching swans in the park lake. This park is not close to downtown Savannah. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a great state park for peace and tranquility. Rest rooms are clean and well maintained. Park does not have cable, WiFi, or sewer hook ups. It has great trails and a small lake for fishing. We visited Warm Springs and FDR Little White House while staying here. We camped at F. D. Roosevelt State Park in a Motorhome.
