Shipshewana Campground - South Park, Shipshewana, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are close together, perhaps 10 feet between each. Sites were level. Due to narrow roads and ill-planted trees, egress from some sites is a challenge especially if the camp site across the road is occupied. No shade to speak of. No activities for children. We camped at Shipshewana Campground - South Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mercer / Grove City KOA, Mercer, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Some very tight turns which could be remedied by the removal of trees at the corner of the turns. Roadways are also very tight. Needed 2" of elevation on one side of our site to come near level. We camped at Mercer / Grove City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA, Streetsboro, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Very narrow entrance/exit as are the roads in the park. Site was level. Bathrooms are dated and could use updating although they were clean. We camped at Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Pine Hill RV Park, Kutztown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Owners very friendly and helpful. Our originally reserved site was too short for my TT. The owner made two trips to the office to check on available sites and moved us to a larger site without any problems. There is some muted noise from a nearby interstate but it is tolerable. I would recommend sites in rows C, D or E as they offer more shade and are in the middle which helps with any noise from the highway. Wi-Fi only available at the office area and was intermittently working. We camped at Pine Hill RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Gram and Pap's Fort Bellefonte Campground, Bellefonte, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I had a "pull through" site that had a steep grade at the entrance of the site which caused the back end of the trailer to drag. I would have been better off backing into the site. Once I got into the site it was fairly level. Sites are close together with fire rings close to the rigs. Staff was very friendly. Campground was very clean and well maintained. I-80 is close by but I didn't think the traffic noise was bothersome. I would stay again. We camped at Gram and Pap's Fort Bellefonte Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Kosmo Village Campground, Glen Allen, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

There are no shower/restrooms. Sites were level. I was just looking for somewhere to stay overnight, and this campground provides that and nothing more. Reception was very friendly. Wi-Fi was surprisingly good. We camped at Kosmo Village Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Watkins Glen / Corning KOA, Watkins Glen, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in one of the recently opened supersites. Site had a large, "stamped" concrete patio and patio lamp post with a hanging flower basket (nice added touch). CG was clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. Indoor pool and hot tub. The nicest KOA that I have stayed at. Only minor drawbacks were lack of shade in the newly open area and the WiFi was slow. We camped at Watkins Glen / Corning KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

The only negative is that the sites are close together. WiFi needs much to be desired as the signal was weak which caused frequent disconnects. Pool looks nice (wasn't open on my visit). Staff friendly. Teenagers working during the evening tried to be helpful, but had limited knowledge. It is a very convenient CG to tour the Capital. Mass transit to the Capital is easily accessable on-site. I would stay there again. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first visit to Myrtle Beach. I was somewhat hesitant on staying at this campground due to the reports of the excessive golf cart traffic. We had a great time. Even though our stay was over the "Golf Cart" parade weekend, the golf carts were not bothersome. Staff courteous and helpful. Security present but not overbearing. Our site was 60 feet from the beach. Sites are Pull-Thru, however there isn't a lot of maneuvering space available. Will be returning on a yearly basis. We camped at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.
