Fort Amargosa RV Park, Amargosa Valley, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here last year when passing thru and now again. Nothing has changed. Great place to spend the night and you can't beat the price.

Fuel across the hwy 95 with an Area 51 store and a brothel next door.

Got some more tshirts again this year. Electric and water are fine. The free WiFi didn't work for us and had to use our strong Verizon MiFi.

Will stay here again when passing thru. We camped at Fort Amargosa RV Park in a Motorhome.

Whiskey Flats RV Park, Hawthorne, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here a couple of years ago when passing thru. Still as great as then. Sites are long, electric and water are good. Has propane if you need it also.

Have a choice of gravel or concrete to park on. Concrete costs a couple of bucks more.

Will stay here again when passing thru. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

Desert Rose RV Park, Fernley, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here a couple of years ago while passing thru to Arizona. Spaces are wide enough with grass between sites. WiFi is fast except at nights when most are on it. Good water and electric. Has cable that we didn't use. Nice people in the office. Will stop here again when passing thru. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Railroad Park RV Resort, Dunsmuir, California

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Like mazes? Like overgrown trees? Like hookups that are upfront? Then you will like this park. You have to wind your way around big trees to get to your site. We had to disconnect our toad to get out of our pullthru site. No lights thruout park. It's DARK!! Being in the woods, wouldn't go out in the trees after dark.. Very tight turns for a 40 ft mh with a toad. Won't be back to this park. Our site had broken tar so our toad wheels hung over edge. We camped at Railroad Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Bandon RV Park, Bandon, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for 2 weeks to see the area. Park is right on hwy 101 with our site just 75 feet from the highway. Lots of road noise except after 10 pm.

Electric for our 50 amp rig was good. Water pressure ok. Didn't use cable. Sewer close by rig.

Biggest problem is how narrow the sites are. If we had had slides, we would have hit the rig along side us.

Even their booklet says try not to let your awnings hit the other rig alongside yours.

Front site that we were in are back to back with other longterm campers.

Almost all longterm rigs are in good condition.

Sites not long enough to keep your car on your site, it sits in the driveway.

Convenient to downtown boardwalk.

Won't stay here again. We camped at Bandon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rovers RV Park (formerly Chinook RV Park), Waldport, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here last July and came back for two months this year (July and August). We like the people who own the park and the fact it is 3 miles from the beach so don't get the fog. Views down by the water are great.
Wifi is ok most of the time, depending on how full the campground is.
Great power (50amp) water pressure is ok and sewer is fine. Didn't use the cable as we have satellite. Will stay here again next year as it is out of the hustle and bustle of Newport. Close enough to beaches for us. Good supermarket in Waldport also. WalMart is in Newport. We camped at Rovers RV Park (formerly Chinook RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park, Pendleton, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Would have given it an 8 but the sewer connection is all the way back on the site and had to use 3 hoses connected together to reach it.

Busy place, with most rigs just staying one night. Stayed here in Sept 2012 and it's convenient to getting to Hwy 84, so no problems.

Casino has good food at reasonable prices with a shuttle to take you there from the campground. Driver gets paid on tips so give him a couple of bucks for the two of you.

Electric is good and good water pressure. We camped at Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Granite Lake Premier RV Resort, Clarkston, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Staying here for the month of June. Spaces a little tight but ok. Roads are not very wide. Has grass between sites that they keep up looking nice. Our site #18 is tough for a 40 footer as it is short and your front end will almost be off the ground with jacks. Nice park, but no resort, but anybody can call themselves that nowadays. Will stay here again next year as is close to river. Nice walking trail alongside park that goes along river. Great WiFi and good power and water pressure. We camped at Granite Lake Premier RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hillview RV Park, Clarkston, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stay here each year for a month or so. We are in a bigger site that requires more $$. It is a well kept park with a good manager that has been here for over 11 years. Electric is great as is the water pressure. Most have good sites for satellite signals. Their free WiFi is ok most times but kicks you off if you stay on to long. We also have Verizon and it is 4 bars when needed.

Will stay here again next year also. We camped at Hillview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Meadows RV Park, New Meadows, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little park down the hill from McCall. Got to look for the sign on the right with a tight driveway.

Very dusty to get to the office. Owner checked us in and was very friendly. Fine 50 amp and good water pressure. No Wifi but our Verizon MiFi had 2 bars so good to go.

Nice grass area in their park.

Would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Meadows RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oregon Trail Campground, Twin Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Staying here when passing thru. Got a military discount with a big "Thanks for your service". Nice couple running this park. He just retired from the Pentagon and respects the military.

Sites are fairly large, maybe 30 feet wide by 50 long.

Free Wifi also. Great 50 amp service with high water pressure.

Would stay here again when passing thru, no problem. We camped at Oregon Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

OK for an overnight spot. Right along side Hwy 93 so get lots of road noise. People in office very nice so that's a plus. Hookups are located OK for your rig. Good signal for our sat dish. Nothing special but good and easy to get to. Would stay here again when passing thru. We camped at Valley View RV in a Motorhome.

DJ's RV Park, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Staying here for a couple of nights to get some work done on our bus in town. Site wasn't level side to side or front to back. Had to crank up the jacks big time to get level. As stated before, long term tenants around the edges. OK for a few nights. Also in the flight path of the airport. Just small planes during our stay. OK for a short stay. Office had us listed for one site that someone else was in and had to look around to find us another site. All in all, an OK park for the price. We camped at DJ's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Quail Run RV Park, Quartzsite, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here before during our travels south for the winter. Park is very clean and managers are very friendly. Clubhouse isn't open yet but that's OK for us. We like being able to take our side by side out the back gate into the BLM land. They are always booked during the month of January because of the RV show so didn't try to make a reservation. Park kept very clean with clean laundry room also. We camped at Quail Run RV Park in a Motorhome.
