San Juan County Fairgrounds (McGee Park), Farmington, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Large paved parking lot, 50 amp only next to power boxes, otherwise 30 amp. Showers and restrooms are not visible from sites, need to ask directions when paying a fairground office. Sites available only when there is no other event being held. Sites are all back-in but you can get away with parking parallel to actual site most of the time. Good for a couple of days. We camped at San Juan County Fairgrounds (McGee Park) in a Motorhome.

Ocean Grove RV Resort, St Augustine Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Normal rate $60, not worth the $30 passport rate. Over nighties are stuck in the rear sites which are mix of sand and dirt. Electrical panels are in sad shape. We camped at Ocean Grove RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Liberty Harbor RV Park, Jersey City, New Jersey

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

A real dump but you have little choice if you want to be close to NYC. They say you can see the Statue of Liberty; maybe if you climb on your roof and are willing to blow up a few buildings. For $60 you get no sewer, no Internet, washers & showers outside the park proper & a dirt strip. Had number one reservation for 2010 and when you get there you find out sites are on a first come, first choice to a site and not all sites will fit a big rig like ours. We camped at Liberty Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate is Passport America, Good Sam, AAA. Bring long extension cords if you have a big rig and are towing. All hookups are at the very rear edge of the sites. Have stayed there 3 times now. We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.
