St. Joe State Park, Park Hills, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

A beautiful place to stay. Wi-Fi at shower house and some of the camping sites closer to the shower house. Host was friendly and the people at the gate are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet - helpful and full of vigor. Love this place - if only they would get the Wi-Fi in the full campground this place would rate a 10. We camped at St. Joe State Park in a Motorhome.

Nice quiet and clean place..kinda dusty, but not that bad. The owner was friendly and led us to our site. We hooked up and then went back to the office to pay. This is a nice place to spend a night or longer -will return. We camped at Ladybug RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

RV Express RV Park, Marshfield, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

No one in the office: take a spot, put money in envelope and drop in box. The WiFi is spotty. It appears nothing has changed from the orginal owners, other that the Chamber of Commerce office is where the 2 room motel use to be. The office was closed, also used to have service from the owners, but who knows what is going on now. Will not stop here again. We camped at RV Express RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cedar Valley RV Park , Guthrie, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The place has turned into a refuge camp (in my opinion) the park is mostly for permanent residents and construction workers...erase this park from your staying list...also..dial-up is faster than the Wi-Fi at this park..this will be our last time staying here and we have been customers for numerous years..the park sold this year and the new owners have increased the fees with no additional benefits...they will be lucky to last 5 more years. We camped at Cedar Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Still a beautiful place...we rode out two of those infamous Oklahoma thunder boomers..man...anyway the park host is friendly and the ranger is also..a nice place to stay...if they had sewer hookups, and Wi-Fi, it would be a 12..but a strong 9 is good. We camped at Foss State Park in a Motorhome.

Angel Nest Retreat, Eagle Nest, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The owner stated the 50 amp service didn't work and the 30 amp is shady so $42 per night+tax is too high for this park. Anyway I guess the new owner is trying, but so far no improvements have been made. The Wi-Fi is spotty and works sometimes. We will not be back and one more thing I noticed, the 30 amp plugs have no disconnect at the post. The electrical is in need of upgrading. We camped at Angel Nest Retreat in a Motorhome.

Think this campground will be under new management in the next little while. The RV park is still nice and quiet. The golf course greens need a lot of work, but it is a nice place to stay. We camped at Cedar Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Have stayed here numerous times and each time we have enjoyed the park. Stayed a week this time. On the weekends there are a lot of ATVs in the park, but come Monday it is quiet. A beautiful park with friendly people in the office. We camped at St. Joe State Park in a Motorhome.

Downstream RV Park, Quapaw, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

I gave it an 8 because it was free. This is no shade and it is rather noisy. Big trucks come and go, but it is a nice place to overnight. The buffet at the casino is rather expensive at $16. So with that said, the camping price is right. We camped at Downstream RV Park in a Motorhome.

I would have given it a 9-10, but the fire rings hadn't been cleaned in a while. It appears, the park is still one of the better ones in Oklahoma. The Host was nice and the park is in good shape. They need rain in the lake, because the lake level is dropping, but still a beautiful place. We camped at Foss State Park in a Motorhome.

A beautiful place in the woods, but no sewer. Water available, but not at sites. Noise during the day (off road vehicles) but the quiets down at night. We stayed 7 days and enjoyed every day, great place. We camped at St. Joe State Park in a Motorhome.

If you want thrills and spills, this is not the place to stay. Very basic, clean older campground. I-44 noise noticeable, across the road from a truck stop. We camped at Paradise in the Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Angel Nest Retreat, Eagle Nest, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Previous owners have retaken the campground. it still lacks the luster of a well maintained park, but the owners are trying. The check-in went smooth and the owner is very friendly. Although the campground is for sale the owners are keeping it operating. We camped at Angel Nest Retreat in a Motorhome.
