Midway Park COE, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Paved interior roads and sites. Covered Picnic table at each site. 50 amp locations are right off a very busy highway so lots of traffic noise all the time including at night. Too much noise for us, we will not stay here again for that reason. We camped at Midway Park COE in a Motorhome.

Ivy's Cove RV Retreat, Russellville, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Well maintained gravel interior roads and sites. Sites very narrow and short but will just handle big rigs. Is not at any of the lake recreation areas, but right off the highway for a good overnight or short stay. There are many folks living here to work at the power plant--sites are neat, clean and well kept-owner on site and keeps an eye on everything. We would stay here again We camped at Ivy's Cove RV Retreat in a Motorhome.

Scenic View Motel & Marina, Lone Star, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Our slot, 8, was right on the water and the best view of all the sites. Not all sites have a view of the lake. A haven if you happen to bird-saw 39 species in 2 weeks and never even had to hunt for them!! Many fishermen stay here for the bass tournaments. Owners are on site and are delightful. Well maintained gravel interior roads. Some sites very narrow. Will stay here again. We camped at Scenic View Motel & Marina in a Motorhome.

Gulf Coast RV Resort, Beaumont, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We have been stopping here once a year or so for the last 10 years. It appears in the last 18 months something has changed. They have a large area for residential living. The sites are messy and cluttered (a ratty recliner, a broken down porch swing, open boxes of cleaning supplies and other materials)--some the grassy areas are deeply rutted and do not appear to have been repaired in recent memory--It seems every rig has at least 3 cars and all the visitor parking spaces are used routinely by residents. Its just not as neat and clean as it used to be and we are very disappointed. The folks here are still nice-they still have a lovely breakfast every day-the pool is well kept-but it is not the easy, desirable stopover it used to be. Maybe they need to re-look at their policies or see if they are being enforced. The cable was not working-the wifi was adequate til everyone got home from work-then it was unusable. We will probably stop here one more time and see if anything has changed and then make some new decisions about where to stay in this area. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lafayette KOA, Scott, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Noise right on I-10-our rig faced the off ramp, 6 lanes of traffic, the bridge and the road into the RV park. In dire need of some sound baffles. We have been RVing for 20 years and have never been bothered by traffic noise, but this was loud and unrelenting. The folks were nice-the park was well kept-but we would NEVER stay here again. We camped at Lafayette KOA in a Motorhome.

Benchmark RV Park, Meridian, Mississippi

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Good interior roads, level sites with concrete pads, sites narrow with little room to sit out. WIFI keeps disappearing. When WIFI is present there is a good signal. Propane unavailable even though advertised. They turn the water off when they expect below freezing weather. Close to Meridian and shopping. Quiet-very little road noise. Very good for an overnight. We camped at Benchmark RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Rosa RV Resort, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Interior asphalt rods, concrete pads at sites, excellent WIFI. Sites are a bit narrow but with shrubbery and palm trees between the sites it is very comfortable. Some sites back to the bay. On a main road and near emergency services-can be quite noisy at times. Lots of activities, close to the beach. Folks very pleasant-would stay again. They are a very popular park-make your reservation early! We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Asphalt interior roads, packed gravel contained in concrete curbs, concrete patio and walkway along rig with picnic table. Some sites face forward with a nice view of Indian Bayou. Wifi very slow. Easy ride to Pensacola-close to shopping. We had difficulty with other reservations and the folks here were very accommodating and helped us out. We stayed here in a motor home and would stay again. Asphalt interior roads and site pads. Some of the asphalt is deteriorated. Few full hookups. Lots of trees with some falling branches. Interior roads and sites, just passable for big rigs. Right on the lake-lots of family friendly things to do. Would stay here again. We camped at Fontainebleau State Park in a Motorhome.

R V Relay Station, Franklin, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Old tired RV park with lots of permanents residents. Sits right on the road. Just barely handled the motor home and tow at 58 feet. Rough gravel interior roads with narrow gravel sites. Only wide enough for slides and no space to sit out. Expect train noise. Folks are nice. We camped at R V Relay Station in a Motorhome.

Foscue Creek COE, Demopolis, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Well maintained large sites with gravel patios, picnic tables, grill, bear food hooks, fish cleaning tables fire rings with concrete pads accessed by asphalt interior roads. Well shaded. Love this park. Does have ants and lots of them, so take care to be very aggressive stopping the ants from getting to your rig. They must not spray for them. Stayed a week--would stay here again. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Motorhome.
