Casa Del Sol, Hemet, California

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

The management are friendly and do what they can with what they've got. Winter 2009 I would rate a "7", but this winter 2010 was a "3". Water pressure/quality is poor and people are not picking up after pets. Atmosphere has gone from RV resort to trailer park. Make sure you pack up everything--I mistakenly left a new pressure gauge on the faucet and when I called the office to see if they could mail it they said it was gone and stuff like that happens all the time. We camped at Casa Del Sol in a Travel Trailer.

Maple Grove RV Resort, Everett, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

I have stayed at 4 RV parks in this area and this is by far the best. Yes, the sites are tight and not real level but the place is immaculately maintained by a great friendly staff. The dog area is not a "seedy alley," if you go left out the gate, it's a small path through trees, blackberries, wildflowers, and teens on weekend nights. If you turn right out the gate it's a nice residential street for walking Fido. I have been here for the summer (hence the daily rate) and plan on returning next year. We camped at Maple Grove RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Ocean Mesa Campground at El Capitan, Santa Barbara, California

Date of Stay: March, 2009 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent care to grounds, beautiful area, nice people in office. But for $70 off season, I would have liked the promised ocean view not blocked by the long side of a Class A on the level below. We camped at Ocean Mesa Campground at El Capitan in a Motorhome.

De Anza RV Resort, Amado, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The facilities were clean and nice but I don't know why the water faucets were so far from the hook-ups--farther than my 25' hose could go. I was glad I'd filled my water tanks before leaving our last stop. Pet owners beware--nasty burrs all over with very thin spikes. Thought I'd gotten them all out from between dog's toes until the one I missed got infected a few days later. We camped at De Anza RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground, Buellton, California

Date of Stay: November, 2007 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nicely landscaped. Walking distance to restaurants. Tight pull through site with neighbors almost on top of each other. Sewer hook ups not usable for a lot of Class B motorhomes as they are so far to rear of site one would have to block most of the road to dump. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Newport Dunes Waterfront RV Resort, Newport Beach, California

Date of Stay: November, 2007 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

$58 got a tiny unlevel dirt site on the back row of the resort. Whole row was empty, yet they put a family with 3 kids and tent right next to us. Took 2 to dump tanks, as sewer inlet was at a 45% angle and had to have partner hold the hose in place. Hard to enjoy a walk through the nicely landscaped park as the air reeked of fragranced dryer sheets blowing from the laundry room vent. On a positive note, the grocery store had a great selection of food, not just the usual junk food and sodas. We camped at Newport Dunes Waterfront RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Kamloops RV Park, Kamloops, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Couldn't dump tanks as sewer hook up began to overflow midway through the black dump. Quite nasty. Dog walking area was full of dry brush with burrs. Atmosphere is a bit "Bates Motel" for a woman traveling alone. We camped at Kamloops RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bridal Falls Camperland RV Resort, Rosedale, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

One of my favorites. Open meadow with trail to waterfall. Semi-private wooded sites. Some sewer hook ups too far to rear for many Class B vehicles to use, so check out site first. Internet signal better in some areas of park than others. Walking distance to small convenience store, and coffee shop. World famous Minter Gardens across the highway, Harrison Hot Springs about 15 min, and about 90 min to Vancouver. We camped at Bridal Falls Camperland RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Moss Landing KOA Express, Moss Landing, California

Great location, walk to restaurants & shops. However the rates are outrageous for a nicely landscaped parking lot. We camped at Moss Landing KOA Express in a Motorhome.
