Homosassa River Carefree RV Resort (formerly Turtle Creek), Homosassa Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

The roads are paved, the area is shaded, the pool is clean. The restrooms and showers are clean but old and need attention. I have mixed feelings about this place-mostly I felt like I was camping in a trailer park. I don't think I would return. We camped at Homosassa River Carefree RV Resort (formerly Turtle Creek) in a Motorhome.

Red Coconut RV Resort, Fort Myers Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

My first thought of this park was "Oh my God, what a dump!" The sites are close, very close, and it seems that each coach has a vehicle too, making it more congested. However, we were here for the gulf and that makes it worthwhile. The water view is exceptional and for that alone, I would stay again. We were beach side and no matter where you end up on this side, it is very close to the water. I would love to get first row next time. We camped at Red Coconut RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sun-N-Fun RV Resort, Sarasota, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The amenities are exceptional. Showers were the cleanest I've ever seen. There is a lot to do for seniors and families as well. The sites are level. However, there is a relatively small area for short term stays. The park is primarily for "snowbirds" and there are a lot of park models that are semi-permanent fixtures. The sites are small and somewhat shaded. I would camp here again, but I really did not like having a semi-permanent "neighbor" with all their stuff outside. We camped at Sun-N-Fun RV Resort in a Motorhome.

North Beach Camp Resort, St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

The park was nice, dirt roads, but compacted. Easy access for many sites but others looked a bit more challenging. Beach access is across the street from the park,so if you are in the back of the park, you have a long walk. The office staff could have been a bit friendlier. We camped at North Beach Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

Candy Hill Campground, Winchester, Virginia

After reading previous reviews, I was optimistic about staying here. I have to say, it was the nicest, friendliest park I have been to. It is immaculate, the sites are well taken care of, roads are exceptional. Each site # is lit. You can't ask for better. I would very highly recommend this campground. We camped at Candy Hill Campground in a Travel Trailer.
