Lancaster / New Holland KOA , New Holland, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

One of my worst experiences. Owner caters towards his regulars, either ignores or pesters newcomers. No store on premises, campground did not offer locations for nearby stores. Water quality is heavy with iron. WiFi was not available, apparently router was bad. Was told they were waiting for parts. Pet policy is selective - small dogs yapping while owners with standard sized dogs were constantly harassed. Campground caters to older campers. There is nothing for campers with kids not even a swing. Restrooms were not clean. Price exceeded value of campsite. The only plus is that the campground is situated on a hillside overlooking farm fields. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends. We camped at Lancaster / New Holland KOA in a Motorhome.

Shenandoah Valley Campground, Verona, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $40.00

Interesting Place! Dozens of rabbits running around the place. Campsite was comfortable. Pond had fish. Other campers were friendly. I would come back again, convenient to several area trout streams. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

Sites in vicinity were unpaved but mostly level. Arrived at night, and partially missed level portion. Only bad mark was that I didn't get a refund for leaving one day early. We camped at Natural Bridge / Lexington KOA in a Motorhome.
