Tahoe Valley RV Resort, South Lake Tahoe, California

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Nice sized sites wind through the forest. Loop configuration so you don't get that parking lot feeling. Didn't give a 9 or 10 since the water heater for our bathroom was down for the first 5 days of our stay. I understand it has been down for over a month. We camped at Tahoe Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails - Palm Springs RV Resort, Palm Desert, California

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We come here 2-4 times each winter for a couple weeks at a time. 50 amp side seems to be pretty solid for power, then again it is pretty full during Dec-Feb when air isn't needed much. Once the temps start climbing the place empties out a lot. Limited shade from Palms but they do help. If park is more empty than full and winds come the sand will be an issue. Park is close to everything, including freeway! Rate reflects member. We camped at Thousand Trails - Palm Springs RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Chinook RV Resort, Klamath, California

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little park right off the 101, was afraid it might be noisy, but actually pretty quiet. You are just a 1/2 mile or so up the river from the ocean. River was calm and very relaxing to sit on the deck. They have with a fire going. Will stay here if passing through again. Price was with Good Sam or AAA. We camped at Chinook RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Roamer's Rest RV Park, Tualatin, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects monthly rate which includes cable, water and sewer. Electricity is billed separately. The park is a very nicely kept park with concrete pads that are quite level and sites up where we are decent size, not huge but comfortable. Grass at almost all sites and all is constantly maintained. The bathrooms are spotless and everything works perfectly. What the park isn't is a destination park with "stuff" to do, no playground or swimming pool or spa. It is a well kept park close in for visiting the greater Portland/Beaverton area. Especially at the monthly rate it is a good value. We will most likely stay here again when visiting our daughter and granddaughter. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Motorhome.

San Angelo KOA, San Angelo, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

The 50 amp pull through sites are a good size with dividers and plantings between sites. Plantings are young but a decent size. These sites are undergoing upgrades to the landscaping. They have a concrete patio and table and chairs also. If you like deer you will love these sites as a large herd of deer including at least one buck lives in the fields next door. The people here are very friendly and while there are several long term units they are kept up and no "stuff" piled around as so often happens. We will stay here if in the area again. We camped at San Angelo KOA in a Motorhome.

Sky City RV Park, Acoma, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Wow what a rate for full hookups including cable! Off season and GS discount. Now downside not much in the way of landscaping, not uncommon in the high plains, the clubhouse and bathrooms were closed for the season along with the pool. Casino is nice and the buffet isn't bad either. We will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Sky City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

All gravel sites with alternating sites so drivers sides face each other and utilities in-between. On the opposite side bushes and screens separating sites. Sites pretty level a good size. It is a comfortable fit with slides on both sides of our rig. Dog run was one of the best we have seen. They have a board in the office/store with coupons for many local businesses, including a winery and pizzeria almost next door. Short walk for some good to great wines and very nice prices. Wine tasting is free and the pizza was great also. We will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Carlsbad RV Park and Campground, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

All dirt sites, Huge, especially the back in sites across the back. Downside to these sites is the neighborhood behind with barking dogs at times. Older park that they are doing upgrades on will have to see how they go. Quite a few long term residents, but the sites were generally kept up so the trashy look we are all used to wasn't there. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Water's Edge RV and Cabin Resort, Vinita, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel sites that are almost as large as those in state parks but more level and grass at all sites. One neat thing was nose in parking so you can take advantage of the view out over the lake from our windshields. Sewer is set on both sides so trailers can back in. There is a big hill in the middle of park covered in trees which, at his time of year, have turned and made for wonderful leaf peeping. Normal parks would have flattened the hill and put a bunch of pull throughs in to ruin the beautiful setting. We would stay here again. We camped at Water's Edge RV and Cabin Resort in a Motorhome.
