Sites was on a slope, so leveling was a little tricky. Quiet setting as it is a working farm. The road into the campground in one lane and very narrow. Watch out for oncoming traffic.

This is the second time we stayed at this campground. We were in site #74, which overlooks the lake. Rained on the way there and that night, but was sunny the following day. Very busy lake, as there are a lot of boats and jet-skis on the water. The pool overlooks the lake and is very pleasant. The bathrooms were very clean. The sites are not that level and had to do some maneuvering to get reasonably level. The camp store was well stocked and the staff extremely friendly. Cell phone signal very poor and local TV stations very slim. We would stay here again.

We spent Mother's Day weekend here and had a wonderful time. The sites are level and were well shaded. Each site had a picnic table and fire pit. There are several paths to the private beach which are very convenient. The bathrooms were very clean with great water pressure. All the shower stalls had multiple hooks for towels and clothes. Wildlife was abundant and we even saw several deer. The "concrete ships" were an interesting site in the bay. Ask the park rangers for their history. We will definitely stay here again.

Very nice campground. Because of the weather, we decided to stay inland near the pool as we knew the ocean would be cold. A main attraction for us was the indoor heated pool and hot tub. This was great as the pool was also a bit chilly. The campground has a nice mini-golf course on-site, however they do charge to play. We decided to play better courses on the strand for the same rate. The issue that seems to be a recurring theme is the number of teens on golf carts. Their did not seem to be any enforcement of the "driver has to be 16 years old" rule. We stayed here pretty early in the season and I can't imagine how it would be during prime season. We would stay here again, but only on a site nearer the ocean because of the golf carts.

This is a very quite campground. I booked this last minute as I was going to the Virginia Fly Fishing Festival that weekend. The upper pull thru sites are setup strangely as you have both a pull thru and back in, depending on who gets their first. We were told to pull into the site behind another camper. This person was leaving the following morning, so we were able to pull straight out when we left. The restrooms were very clean. The pool was closed, so cannot comment. We would stay here again.
