Brand new park. We stayed a week. We lucked out getting in as the park was almost full. Sites are mostly back-ins but spacious. Plenty of room for our big truck and 36' 5W. Great dog walk area as well as a great park to walk. Really enjoyed our stay and we will return if in the area again.

Rate is approx as we stayed for 1 month. We have stayed at this park for many years. It is a convenient park to getting downtown and there is lots of shopping close. Pull thru sites have an additional parking spot next to the rig (which is a Standard Plus type site) making it easier for the bigger rigs to park their tow or towing vehicle. On the down side: if you have a pet, there are several cats loose and it made it difficult for us to walk our dog. If dogs / pets have to be on a leash, why do the cats get to roam? Otherwise an enjoyable stay.

Rate indicates a special winter rate. Park is clean and neat and in our opinion the absolute best of the KOA campgrounds. We stay here on our way south each December and way north in March. Great for walking pets. Shuttle to site from casino. Best place in casino to eat is the Blue Moon Cafe.

Date of Stay:

Park had special rate of $25 per night in February and that included cable, although cable is not at all sites. Park is one of the best KOA's we have every seen. Well managed and just beautiful. Shuttle will take you to casino and bring you back. Office staff friendly and accommodating. Choctaw Indians own and operate and they have very high standards of excellence in all the amenities. We will return on our next trip through Oklahoma.

We stayed a month so we got a special rate because the park was still in the process of being built. It has excellent location and a short walk to the beach as it is located at the entrance to Stewart Beach on the north end of Galveston. Wi-Fi & Cable were good. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to see the pool when it is finished as they were still working on it when we left. This is a small park but it is better quality that the other parks in the area. We will return next time in the area.

While we did not actually stay in this park, we visited friends here and wished we had. Park was clean and sites were a little close but adequate. Because of the snowbirds, this park was full and did not have availability until too late for us to change our plans. My husband played pool with some of the residents and found them to be friendly. We would like to stay here next time in the area if they have space.

A relatively new park - not a resort as it does not have a pool. It does have a nice gathering room for cards, etc. Laundry facility is small and clean. Cable TV was a bit snowy and the owners tried to correct the matter. One Wi-Fi access point did not always work, but they have several and one of the others always worked. Area looked like it might flood if there was an abundance of rain. We would return again if we needed to be in Aransas Pass rather than Rockport or Corpus Christi.

Date of Stay:

Park is cleaner than in prior years, but it is just an RV site connected to a motel. Logical place to stop on our way south based on our departure time and since it is just for a night, we do not even unhook or connect our water or sewer. There are several full time residents in RVs and location is near a feed lot as we hear the mooing of cattle and once in a while a train.

We stayed a month so the nightly rate reflects 1 of 30 days - approximately. We paid additional for electric. Wi-Fi and cable TV were included. Sites were okay - not spacious, but not right on top of your neighbor. They have a few spots for the 45' plus trailers and they had plenty of space/length. They were working on the roads while we were there to repair pot holes. They have several places for "walking" your pets, one fenced in but not well lit for night time use. A fairly good walking park; friendly staff. They had activities we did not participate in as we were there to visit relatives. We would return again.

Park is a great place to stop on our way south as we have stopped here several times. Park is clean and the staff is friendly. Cable TV was good, but did not use the Wi-Fi so we cannot comment on that. We pulled in after hours and picked a pull-through site listed at their office. We will stay here again on our next trip south.

A great park though it did rain during our stay. Pull thrus were great. Cable & great Wi-Fi available. We stop on our way north each spring.

So Many Problems: We did not find WI-FI avail. Office was closed when we arrived (3:30pm). Site assigned was too short for our RV (34' 5W + dually P/U) and difficult to get into. Site was narrow. Had to ask neighbors to move their vehicles on our departure. We saw other larger sites unoccupied during our stay. Park appears to have lots of permanent residents. Dog walk is outside of park fence next to a highway and in the culvert /hilly area. Dogs were seen off leashes. Park was not as clean as Trailer Life rated or expected of a Carefree Resort.

Park is excellent, however the new owners and staff are not customer oriented (see below). Electric is not included in the monthly rate, cable is extra. So for the $420 site fee (for water and sewer)plus $30 cable fee plus electric which is metered (ours cost us $60, an overcharge in our book)= $510 approximately, the campground was NOT worth it. Our site, in the newer section, was level, but we had asked for shade - not trees - and be close to the pet walk - NOT. So we walked our pet on the river park - which was beautiful, except for the droppings of other pets that had not been picked up, or the fact that other owners let their pet off leash in the area. Also, our electric meter was broken and was not discovered until our checkout. Instead of coming to an equitable solution, since we did not use our AC, and ran fridge and water heater on propane, we felt that $60 was way too much for the 3 weeks we spent there. The owner said the meter was read and that was what we owed. You could not argue with him. He did not care that it was broken. We paid, but we won't be back. Note:We had paid for electric at another park and the rate was the same 12 cents KW and it was $15 there - and we used the AC at that park. Just be cautious when staying there.

Great park on the west side of S.A., even though the WIFI is not free (Tengo), cable and electric are included in the site fees. Staff and campers are friendly.Dog walk area is fenced and usually clean. Only one incidence while we were there of a pet being off leash. A great walking park as it is all paved, as are the sites. Will return on our next visit to the San Antonio area.

Great park with one or two problems: blind side back-ins and narrow streets which made backing in a problem. Luckily there were no RVs parked across from us! Staff was not overly friendly or knowledgeable: asked for a place to eat and they could not tell us. But they did adjust our daily rate to a weekly rate when we decided to stay 7 nights instead of 4. Laundry was clean and neat. We will probably go back, but request sites away from the highway noise and one easier to get into.
