Croton Point Park, Croton on Hudson, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

As another reviewer stated, the only reason this park doesn't get a perfect 10 is because they do not have 50 amp service or cable. Other than that, this park was PERFECT! We had a great time. Literally on the metro-north railroad line - simple access. Park is beautiful, extremely clean, even the long term sites were spotless. Cant wait to stay here again - we booked a full month next summer. We camped at Croton Point Park in a Motorhome.

New York City North / Newburgh KOA, Plattekill, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

First of all, this park advertises that they are in Newburgh. They are actually 25 minutes north of Newburgh. Very much so out of the way and not close to anything. Expensive. Don't mind paying a premium price, but here, we paid a premium price for nothing. The site we had was spacious. The site itself was nice. But there was a horrible sewer odor everyday. They also had daily parties or events for "outside people" not staying in the park. My guess is they rented the property for birthday parties and other events. The problem with this is, we had to deal with tons of cars, loud music and a lot of folks (that are not staying in the park) wandering around. It became disruptive. Overall, we were pretty disappointed. Ended up moving the RV an hour south - just couldn't take the smell and noise anymore. We camped at New York City North / Newburgh KOA in a Motorhome.

Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Loved it! Spotless campground, friendly staff, lots of TV channels included, Wi-Fi access, everything worked perfectly! Very close to DC (train station). Looking forward to another trip to this park. We killed our car battery in our toad upon arrival at the park, and the staff came within 5 minutes to assist me with a jump start. Cant say enough about Cherry Hill - it was beautiful! We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.

Port St Lucie RV Resort, Port Saint Lucie, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park is clean. Hookups all worked great, but couldn't get the WiFi to work - didn't really need it as we have a Aircard. The park is not somewhere that I would stay as a destination. Its more "substance" than anything else. No shade, which is also OK in non-summer months because our Sat. TV worked great. Our cell phones and Aircard also have a perfect signal, probably because there were 2 huge towers standing over our RV. Not the prettiest sight. Staff was great and we will stay there again because we have family in Port St Lucie. Its just not a place I would ever choose as a destination otherwise. We camped at Port St Lucie RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pirateland Family Campground, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2007 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The only reason I dont give this place a perfect score is due to the eye sores of old travel trailers "made permanent" in the long term section. While I commend anyone living in such a beautiful area, it does ruin the potential beauty of the resort. This would be a true 5 star resort if not for some of the long term eye sores. That being said, this place is awesome! We love the park. Short term section was very clean. Lots of families with Motorhomes, TT's and Fifth Wheels. All sites were clean. The area has a ton of things to do. We stayed 5 days and easily could have stayed 2 weeks. Highly recommend! We camped at Pirateland Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Tallahassee RV Park, Tallahassee, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very Clean Campground. Very safe. Friendly staff - a real pleasure. Sites were among the cleanest we have ever seen. Turns are tight, but we saw a 42 foot RV navigating without problems, nor did we have problems. We have lots of family in Tallahassee so we have found a new "home" for our visits. We camped at Tallahassee RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beverly Beach RV Camptown RV Resort, Flagler Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We love this place. It is really Ocean Front camping. Other parks claim this, but Beverly Beach Camptown really has ocean front with great views of the beach. No shade anywhere and a little too windy (when we were there) to use awning, but ocean/beach views made up for it. Looking forward to our next stay! We camped at Beverly Beach RV Camptown RV Resort in a Motorhome.
